Today, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Hero-Arkadag made a working visit to the city of Arkadag, where he familiarized himself with projects for upcoming new constructions and held a working meeting with relevant leaders.
The development of the second phase of the new city, built thanks to the efforts and support of Hero-Arkadag in accordance with the "smart city" concept, continues with consideration of the requirements presented. Programmatic measures, in addition to construction work, involve landscaping of areas adjacent to the roads leading to the metropolis, which also include the installation of sculptures and other decorative elements.
Upon arrival, Hero-Arkadag familiarized himself with projects that provide extensive information on plans for the development and improvement of the urban environment.
Among them is the design project for the "Ahalteke atlary" avenue with equestrian monuments. The corresponding information was presented by D. Orazov, Chairman of the State Committee for Construction of Arkadag City under the President of Turkmenistan.
As reported, it is planned to install sculptural images of legendary Akhal-Teke horses on pedestals along the mentioned avenue, which is being landscaped according to modern requirements. The artistic solution of the objects forms an original composition that conveys the spirit of the time. In accordance with the instructions previously given by Hero-Arkadag, information about the origin and history of the horses will be placed on the pedestals.
Having listened to the information, Hero-Arkadag emphasized the national heritage: throughout history, our wise ancestors created many values, and therefore they deserve special attention, as such an approach plays a special role in multiplying the sense of pride and love for national heritage among the younger generation.
Further, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held a working meeting with the participation of D. Orazov, Chairman of the State Committee for Construction of Arkadag City under the President of Turkmenistan, and G. Mammedova, head of the city administration.
D. Orazov reported on the pace of construction of facilities within the second phase. As reported, more than 50 domestic companies and individual enterprises are involved in its implementation. At the same time, five companies – both domestic and leading foreign ones – are working on the construction of facilities in the medical cluster.
Continuing, D. Orazov expressed gratitude to the head of State and Hero-Arkadag for the opportunity to make a working visit to Japan and the Republic of Korea, where they documented agreements with companies that expressed a desire to participate in equipping the facilities of the medical cluster in Arkadag.
As reported, international financial institutions are increasingly interested in cooperation: measures are currently being taken to provide grants for projects involving the implementation of new technologies and water recycling to generate electricity in the city from renewable sources using solar panels.
Information was also shared about plans to allocate grant funds for the construction of a modern bus terminal and a high-tech industrial complex as part of the second phase of development.
After hearing the report, Hero-Arkadag instructed that special attention be given to incorporating traditions of national architecture and finishes in accordance with the adopted urban planning program, as well as ensuring high-quality standards for materials used. This approach will ensure superior construction quality overall.
In addition to industrial facilities in the second phase, social infrastructure is also being built. A key requirement during the design stage is that these structures must blend harmoniously with the surrounding natural landscape. The same applies to landscaping adjacent areas, which collectively will help maintain the city's ecological standards. This is a fundamental requirement, stated Hero-Arkadag, Honored Architect of Turkmenistan.
In essence, the entire process—including the construction of new buildings alongside infrastructure facilities and landscaping surrounding areas—should be carried out in line with contemporary demands and using advanced practical methods. Speaking on this, the National Leader of the Turkmen people provided several recommendations.
Hero-Arkadag issued specific instructions to accelerate the pace of construction for industrial facilities in the second phase and to promote exports of products planned for production from local raw materials on the global market.
Following this, G. Mammedova, Mayor of Arkadag City, presented information on comprehensive preparations for the National Holiday of Turkmen Horse, which holds a special place in the life of the state and society. The city administration head also expressed gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Hero-Arkadag for enabling a working visit to Monaco to discuss establishing relations between cities of both countries.
Continuing on, G. Mammedova emphasized that organizing celebrations and international events for the upcoming holiday in Arkadag City is a great honor. She reported on preparations for these events, noting that keys to new residential houses would also be presented to local horse breeders on this significant date.
After hearing the information, Hero-Arkadag noted the immense significance and meaningful message of holding the National Holiday in the new city: organizing celebrations on the ancestral homeland of the Akhal-Teke horses fully aligns with the wise saying, "Where a horse prances, expect a celebration."
To ensure high-quality organization of the planned events, it is crucial to coordinate the activities of all relevant structures and apply the necessary efforts to optimally solve the corresponding tasks, said the National Leader of the Turkmen people.
Noting that every moment of the International Year of Peace and Trust is marked by glorious events and labor achievements, Hero-Arkadag wished success in fulfilling the plans for the upcoming festive celebrations.
Then, the National Leader of the Turkmen people proceeded to the construction site of the mosque, where he familiarized himself with the presented projects. The fact that this event occurs on a Wednesday testifies to the commitment to the noble traditions of our wise ancestors.
Information about the progress of the mosque construction was presented to Haji Arkadag in the presence of Mufti Y. Khojagulyev and Imam of Ahal velayat R. Gurbanmyradov.
Over the past few years, numerous modern cult buildings have been opened across the country, including in the capital, all of which fully comply with contemporary architectural trends. The construction of the mosque, considered the "house of Allah" by the Turkmen, reflects the continuity of good deeds as a result of the successful continuation of Hero-Arkadag's initiatives under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Thus, today's good deeds in the country embody the people's commitment to long-standing traditions, acquiring content that corresponds to the spirit of the present time. This, in turn, demonstrates the harmonious development of all spheres in our state, based on the best principles, and efforts to recognize the values created by the Turkmen people on the global stage.
It should be noted that along with mosques, facilities for performing sadaqah and other rituals are also being built on their premises. The mosque is a place where good deeds are done and where benevolent acts are performed. Therefore, special attention is paid to the architecture of cult buildings, as well as to the quality of materials used in their construction, including finishing materials. Great importance is also attached to landscaping the area around the mosques, particularly those under construction.
The architectural design of such structures corresponds to established traditions of national architecture. Only high-quality materials are used in their exterior design and interior. One of the notable elements of the interior decoration of mosques is the calligraphic writing of surahs from the Holy Quran.
All this serves as clear evidence of the care shown at the state level and the conditions created so that our brave people can freely perform religious rituals and ceremonies, as well as observe good traditions while adhering to national principles. Representatives of the clergy express sincere gratitude to Haji Arkadag and Arkadagly Haji Serdar for such wonderful opportunities.
At the same time, all conditions are being created in the country for the fulfillment of religious prescriptions during the blessed days of the sacred month of Oraza, which has special significance in maintaining continuity and affirming beautiful ancient principles—benevolence, mercy, respectful attitude towards each other, and unity: for this, the Turkmenistan citizens express boundless gratitude.
In mosques operating in the regions and the capital, the foundation is laid and maintained for all good deeds. Mosques play an important role in promoting impeccable principles. And it is pleasing that the magnificent mosque being built in the new city, which once again testifies to the noble initiatives of Haji Arkadag aimed at long-term prospects under the leadership of Arkadagly Haji Serdar, is one of them.
Then information was presented about the design of the mosque being built in the city and the materials used. As reported, the sacred building will be able to accommodate 30,000 worshipers at the same time, with a separate room for women with a capacity of 5,000 people.
As noted, today everything necessary is being done to properly observe national traditions and celebrate Kurban Bayram and Oraza Bayram. In accordance with the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, Kurban Bayram is celebrated in the country for three days. During this time, flights are arranged so that our compatriots wishing to perform the Hajj can travel to Mecca and Medina. On behalf of the clergy and compatriots, the Mufti of Turkmenistan expressed gratitude to Haji Arkadag and Arkadagly Haji Serdar for the care and attention shown at the state level.
Also, during these days, the Mufti's administration of Turkmenistan conducts organizational work to send citizens who wish to perform the Hajj to Mecca and Medina. Thus, the issue of sending pilgrims in our country is resolved comprehensively. This is another visible confirmation of our society's deep commitment to its spiritual roots.
In this regard, Haji Arkadag emphasized that the construction of roads, bridges, and mosques is considered a benevolent act, and noted the importance of aligning the efforts made with traditional national principles.
As the National Leader of the Turkmen people noted, the construction of cult buildings on sacred Turkmen land using charitable funds has special significance. A clear evidence of this is the mosque in the city of Arkadag, which, like others, reflects the continuity and triumph of our people's ancient principles, such as observing good traditions along with beneficial deeds and venerating sacred sites.
The construction of a new mosque on sacred land, in accordance with the traditions of ancient architecture and modern architecture, demonstrates that good deeds are receiving a worthy continuation. Speaking about this, Haji Arkadag emphasized that the clergy will always receive necessary assistance and support.
Expressing gratitude, the Mufti of Turkmenistan offered a prayer for the well-being of the country and the peaceful life of its people, as well as for the good health, longevity, and success of Haji Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar in their noble endeavors.
Emphasizing that maintaining national traditions and customs, cultural heritage is a benevolent act, Hero-Arkadag wished everyone success in their work and departed from the event.
