Today, in the capital the International exhibition-fair «Turkmentextile Expo - 2025», devoted to development of textile industry of the country and prospects of productive cooperation in the given sphere started its work.

The large-scale review gives possibility for demonstration of potential and achievements in this important branch of economy, presentation of new kinds of production as well as enhancement of mutually beneficial business ties with foreign partners.

Thanks to the policy of radical reforms started by National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Hero-Arkadag and nowadays successfully realised under the wise leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the material and technical basis of textile industry is constantly modernised and advanced methods are introduced into production. It ensures worldwide recognition of local profile enterprises as manufacturers of high-quality production.

The favourable soil and climatic conditions of Turkmenistan create wide opportunities for industrial production of mid and fine-fibered cotton, which is in great demand in the world market. The Resolution signed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on increase of state procurement prices of cotton promoted the considerable strengthening of the raw-material basis of the branch and increase in volumes and assortment of production.

... in the morning, on the festively decorated area in front of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan numerous participants of the opening ceremony of the international exhibition-fair gathered. Among them - Chairwoman of the Mejlis, members of the Government, heads and representatives of ministries and departments,  diplomatic missions and the international organisations accredited in Turkmenistan as well as public organisations.

Performances of actors added bright colours to the festive atmosphere.

With deep attention, the present heard the congratulatory message of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to participants of the International exhibition-fair «Turkmentextile Expo-2025».

As the head of the state marked, weaver's skill passed from father to son through millennia and has reached up to now, becoming an important component of the rich national heritage. It concerns not only manufacturing of daily clothes or home decorations. Weaver's art - an integral part of unique culture of Turkmen people.

Then, the gathered familiarised with the pavilions displayed at the exhibition-fair. In the exhibition, about 110 exhibitors take part. Among them - enterprises of the Ministry of Textile Industry, members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, working in the given sphere as well as foreign companies - manufacturers and suppliers of the profile equipment, dyes, raw materials, chemical and packing means, industrial materials. More than 60 of them - leading foreign companies and famous representatives of the industry of fashion.

The Ministry of Textile Industry shows achievements of the sector visually. Due to realised large-scale programs and transformations, the textile industry of Turkmenistan has turned into one of the most dynamically developing sectors of the national economy. A number of modern profile enterprises equipped with advanced processing technologies have been constructed in recent years. Operating large textile complexes, cotton spinning and garment factories, enterprises for processing of cocoons, shoes factories and other manufactures produce high-quality production from non-polluting raw materials, bringing their worthy contribution to the further enhancement of the export potential of the country.

On the margins of digitization process of the local economy, due work is also successfully carried out in the textile industry. The launch of the internet shop «Dokma» visually testifies to it. Through the online platform developed by the Ministry of Textile Industry, buyers can order hundred kinds of textile and tanning shoe production from both enterprises of the ministry and private manufacturers.

At the exhibition-fair, among sectoral enterprises of the country, textile complexes of Ashgabat and Bayramaly also display various products.

The textile industry of Turkmenistan constantly increases an assortment of its production according to the season, satisfying a growing demand of buyers. In this connection, the attention of participants and guests of the exhibition was caught with summer and autumn clothes of trademarks «Nusaý», «Bedew», «Gala» and «Bürgüt». These non-polluting and comfortable products with their durability and beautiful design are in great demand not only among local, but also among foreign consumers.

The textile complex «Ruhabat» offers various kinds of dyed and undyed cotton fabrics, other production. The enterprise also specialises in processing cotton and release of several kinds of cotton yarn necessary for local and foreign textile manufactures.

Thanks to the large state investments directed to the branch, its infrastructure systematically extends. In particular, Babadaykhan and Kaka textile complexes equipped with modern technologies, have adjusted release of high-quality production, which can worthily rival the goods, made abroad. A rich assortment of goods according to the season are manufactured under brands «Mäne» and «Jeýtun».

Silk fabrics of the Ashgabat velvet factory, man's and children's shirts of the garment factory «Ýeňiş», production of the sewing association «Akhal» and sewing enterprise «Bahar» are also displayed at the exhibition. Besides it, a number of the enterprises display their possibilities in manufacture of yarn and waste processing in textile industry.

Members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan also strengthen their positions in various sectors of economy, including in the textile branch. So, private enterprises «Batly Gadam», «Gerçek ýigit» and «Gök saraý» increase their production assortment at the expense of cotton yarn processing necessary for its manufacture.

Turkmen businessmen actively participate in creation of modern industrial complexes  based not only on natural raw materials, but also on introduction of innovative technologies and advanced experience. The economic society «Berk ýüplük» and private enterprise «Abraýly dostlar» manufacture the yarn from domestic polypropylene. It is widely used in manufacture of furniture, plastic pipes, bags and ropes. It is necessary to note that the Open joint-stock company «Abadan haly» in the similar way also makes fine carpet products. With introduction and effective use of high technologies of European countries in the industrial complex of the open society, new possibilities open for further development of national carpet making art by means of modern industrial methods, expansion of volumes of output, decrease in the cost price of production. The carpets displayed by the enterprise at the exhibition, differ with their fineness.

Enterprises «Geran» and «Saraýan» offer a big assortment of uniforms and accessories. The enterprise «Däp» displays to visitors of the exhibition clothes and bags made in a modern style with use of original design patterns.

This time the exhibition has brought together in the Turkmen capital not only leading manufacturers and suppliers of textiles, but also world famous designers. Here one can familiarise with their collections and modern fashionable tendencies. The clothes created by Turkmen designers and fashion houses in combination with national traditions evoked a great interest in foreign representatives.

At the exhibition, achievements of local businessmen in manufacture of footwear and various accessories are also displayed. Leading enterprises in this area are the economic association «Muhammet-Balkan» and private enterprise "Röwşen". Besides footwear from genuine leather, following advanced fashion trends, they show samples of the accessories, manufacture of which nowadays dynamically develops. The Gökdepe tannery also takes part in the exhibition-fair with new products from genuine leather.

Turkmenistan carries out close cooperation with large foreign manufacturers in the field of modernisation of the material and technical basis of the enterprises of the branch and creation of innovative manufactures on the basis of local natural resources. In the given context, it is necessary to point out that foreign partners show a great interest in interaction with our country in textile industry. Participation of leading world companies specialising in manufacture of profile equipment and dyes in the exhibition also attests to this fact.

The possibilities for cooperation in the area of manufacture and modernisation of the equipment for textile enterprises represent such companies, as «Toyota Industries Corporation» and «Murata Machinery» (Japan), «Rieter» (Switzerland), «LMW Global FZE» and «Lakshmi Card Clothing» (India). The companies «MRN Kimya» (Turkey), «Indokem», «Atul chemical» (India) and «Ben tech Chemical» (Thailand) offer a wide assortment of dyes for textile industry.

Textile production is not only beautiful clothes for people, but also elements of home ornament and workplace. In the international exhibition-fair, famous foreign companies manufacturing articles of decor for the house, upholstered furniture and kitchen accessories and their suppliers take an active part. Among them - «Jumbo», «Karaca» and «English home», showing a wide assortment of the household goods.

A separate part of the exhibition platform is occupied with the shopping centre «Altyn Asyr». Here a big assortment of domestic textile products is presented. It is remarkable that the basic feature of this exhibition-fair is creation of conditions for trade in high-quality textile production.

A wide spectrum of the substantial events directed to exchange of experience, enrichment of knowledge is included in the program of the international review in the field of modern fashionable tendencies. Here master classes from domestic and foreign designers, who will acquaint the experts working in the given sphere, and representatives of the wide public with traditional and progressive currents in decoration of clothes, manufacture of clothes for adults and children and toys from textile materials are planned.

During the epoch of dynamic development and perfection of fashion, the original costumes reflecting the rich creative potential of Turkmen people draw the general attention. Each of them, decorated with national ornament and filigree embroidery, is a unique work of art created by diligence and talent of our girls and women. Inclusion of the national art of embroidery in the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage testifies to the world recognition of cultural property of our people, which goes back to ancient times. Today this art is even more enriched with domestic designers, who create clothes on the basis of modern trends.

A great demand in the world market for production of sewing and textile enterprises is closely connected with their ability operatively to introduce new technologies, following advanced areas in the fashion world. In this connection, for acquaintance with the costumes created by domestic and foreign designers, it is planned to organise several fashion shows.

Fashion shows of world famous designers from Italy, France, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Singapore, India, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan will become an unforgettable event for residents and visitors of the capital. Regular organisation of similar international events recently visually shows that Ashgabat included in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in the “Design category”, strengthens the positions as a regional centre of culture, art and beauty.

The exhibition-fair creates wide opportunities for exchange of experience with foreign representatives of the world of fashion, their acquaintance with achievements of Turkmen colleagues. The clothes decorated with refined national embroidery and developed by designers of the Ashgabat fashion house, fashion houses «Goç Ýigit», «Duman Show», «Dana Peri», «AINA», «Aýna Sari», «Mirasly Senet», «Binayim», «Chynar Fashion», «LN» according to latest fashionable tendencies, leave nobody indifferent. Developing national traditions of sewing, local masters also closely co-operate with foreign colleagues.

The exhibition being held in Ashgabat serves not only a platform of economic and business interests, but also a place for mutual enrichment of cultures and creative traditions. It once again confirms a significant role of cultural-humanitarian relations as an important factor of international cooperation for universal peace and development to what is given particular attention in the creative foreign policy strategy of Turkmenistan realised under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The international exhibition-fair «Turkmentextile Expo - 2025» will complete its work on June 13.
