Today, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Honoured Elder Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting of the Council of Elders under the Khalk Maslakhaty and the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Aid to Children in Need of Care. Its agenda included the issues connected with fulfilment of the goals, set forward at the national forum as well as with the course of large scale work carried out in velayats. 

Opening the meeting, Hero-Arkadag noted that at present, noble principles, which wise ancestors created and serve a model for the whole world, find their worthy continuation in our country. In this regard, festivities organized in honour of significant dates that take an important place in the national calendar, reflect the happy life of Turkmen nationals and harmonious development of our fatherland.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people congratulated all on the successful completion of 2024 and the holiday of permanent neutrality of our independent state. The year «The Fount of wisdom of Magtymguly Fragi» was marked by numerous unforgettable events. On the threshold of Independence Day the meeting of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan was held at a high level.

Managing Director of the Office of Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan R.Bazarov who spoke then, informed the activity of the Council of Elders, forthcoming goals and ways of their successful realisation. He also reported on the explanatory work of elders of velayats among the population and festive events organized. As was marked, representatives of the senior generation of the country take an active part in the public life.

Then, the floor was given to participants of the meeting.

The first floor was given to representative of the city of Ashgabat O.Khojatov who pointed out that in the Era of Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state under the wise leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who successfully continues undertakings of Hero-Arkadag, a large scale work aimed at further increase of standard of living of people is carried out. In this connection, he expressed gratitude on behalf of residents of the capital.

Then G.Aylyev, a representative of Akhal velayat, who conveyed warm greetings to Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar on behalf of residents of the region and congratulation on the occasion of International Day of Neutrality, spoke.

As he marked, in Baherden etrap the second turn of the cement factory was put into operation, on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan residents of the velayat got 200 passenger buses as gift and in addition to it, the city of Anau was declared as a cultural capital of the Turkic world of 2024.

Taking an opportunity, the representative of Akhal velayat warmly congratulated Hero-Arkadag on publication of his new book «Hakyda göwheri» and pointed out a significance of initiatives put forward by the National Leader of the Turkmen people at the One Water Summit held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Representative of Balkan velayat Ya. Atamyradov conveyed warm words of greeting on behalf of happy inhabitants of the region and warmly congratulated the National Leader of the Turkmen people on publication of the book «Hakyda göwheri» and International Day of Neutrality.

E.Talipov from Lebap velayat who spoke then, on behalf of inhabitants of the region warmly congratulated the Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the 29th anniversary of permanent neutrality.

E.Talipov assured Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar that he will make all out efforts for glorification of achievements of our fatherland.

Further, representative of Dashoguz velayat T.Kurbanmetov who on behalf of inhabitants of the region expressed his deep gratitude to Hero-Arkadag and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for their care of well-being of people, spoke.

At the same time, construction of a settlement of 1500 families in the region can serve a clear evidence of worthy continuation of noble activities of Hero-Arkadag by the head of Turkmenistan.

Further, representative of Mary velayat A.Charyev noted that the work carried out in the Era of Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state by National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar, serves a model for the whole world.

At the expense of the Charitable Foundation for assistance to children in need of care named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov young inhabitants of the region were assisted in improvement of their health. He expressed a deep gratitude in this connection to Hero-Arkadag.

Having thanked for the speech, the Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty underlined that the Turkmen people are the people who treat the senior generation with great respect and deeply esteem primordial cultural wealth. Careful preservation of national traditions and their transfer to the younger generation - an important goal of the Council of Elders.

Hero-Arkadag underlined that humanity is a priority line of activity of the Council.

«In my new book« Hakyda göwheri» it is noted that Turkic speaking people enjoy commonality of language, cultural and historical roots. We never renounce our origin, fidelity to family values, respect for parents and seniors, honouring of traditions and patriotism», - scientist-Arkadag continued his speech.

One of the national features - to respect seniors, to follow advice and to appreciate their admonishments. It, Hero-Arkadag continued, is reflected in my book «Ömrümiň manysynyň dowamaty» where a special place is given to traditions of our ancestors - to consult with wise elders and to make decisions jointly. Today, it finds a practical embodiment at meetings of the Khalk Maslakhaty annually held in the country that is a clear evidence of display of principles of national democracy.

Then, the awarding ceremony of National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Hero-Arkadag and foreign guests who arrived in our country for participation in festive events marked in Turkmenistan, took place.

Today, on the threshold of International Day of Neutrality there was held a meeting, Hero-Arkadag said and gave the floor to Managing Director of the Office of Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan R.Bazarov who read Decrees of the President of Turkmenistan signed on the occasion of the holiday. They included the Decree on conferment of International Award named after Magtymguly on National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Malikguliyevich Berdimuhamedov.

Considering proposals from representatives of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, large public associations, labour collectives and citizens of our country, on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi as well as taking into account the decision of Committee on the International Award named after Magtymguly, to award National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Hero-Arkadag Berdimuhamedov Gurbanguly Malikguliyevich the International Award named after Magtymguly.

The Decree on awarding Hero-Arkadag an anniversary medal and a complete set of memorable signs of Turkmenistan «Magtymguly Pyragynyň 300 ýyllygyna» was read out.

Having thanked the President of Turkmenistan for appreciation of his work, Hero-Arkadag noted that these awards - a token of recognition of achievement of new heights in development of our fatherland by Turkmen nationals. Establishment of these awards - a tribute of Turkmen people to its great son - Magtymguly Fragi.

As Hero-Arkadag noted, all it obliges us to work indefatigably and tirelessly for well-being and prosperity of our beloved people, future generations and progress of our country.

Assignment of the title by the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan «Honoured Elder of Turkmenistan» and award of the anniversary medal of Turkmenistan «Magtymguly Pyragynyň 300 ýyllygyna» made an unforgettable impression, the head of the Council of Aksakals of OTS said, having underlined that this decision inspires him into further great achievements.

Having noted that cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Türkiye has big prospects, the guest once again expressed gratitude to Hero-Arkadag for appreciation of his work.

Then, the ceremony organised there proceeded with the awarding of one more guest of honour who arrived in our country. As Hero-Arkadag underlined, the German doctor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Klaus-Georg Parhofer for years of independence has carried out a big work in public health services of our country, giving a valuable advice on training of doctors and construction of new modern medical institutions, and also has brought a worthy contribution to popularisation of literary heritage of Magtymguly Fragi. In this regard, the National Leader of the Turkmen people informed on awarding of Klaus-Georg Parhofer the medal of Turkmenistan «Arkadag» and anniversary medal of Turkmenistan «Magtymguly Pyragynyň 300 ýyllygyna».

Having expressed sincere gratitude for the honour, the guest underlined that the work carried out in the system of public health services of Turkmenistan, deserves an appreciation. It is a bright result of the attention given at the state level, to strengthening of health of people and provision of population with high quality medical services.

Having appreciated the activity of the Council of Elders on education and support of the younger generation, the National Leader of the Turkmen people noted that work carried out by them promotes the strengthening of national unity, education of patriotic generation. In this connection, Hero-Arkadag informed that the President of Turkmenistan has decided to award members of the Council of Elders the anniversary medal of Turkmenistan «Magtymguly Pyragynyň 300 ýyllygyna».

Under solemn conditions awards were handed to members of the Council of Elders at the Khalk Maslakhaty and the Charitable Foundation for assistance to children in need of care named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Similar actions show that the celebrations spent to honour of significant dates in the life of the country, evoke pride in our people. Today, Turkmen nationals who made a worthy contribution to development of our country are worthily appreciated and it speaks of reflexion of socially focused policy which main principle «State - for people!». Its basis was put by Hero-Arkadag and nowadays is successfully realised under the wise leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
