The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Nicaragua is accredited in Turkmenistan

On July 1, 2024, on instructions of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan D.Gulmanova accepted credentials from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Nicaragua to our country Tatiana Daniela Garcia Silva.

The head of the national parliament, on behalf of the head of Turkmenistan, congratulated the Ambassador on her appointment to a high diplomatic post, wishing her success in strengthening the bonds of friendship and mutually beneficial relations between the two states and peoples.

In turn, thanking for the good wishes and the warm welcome on Turkmen soil, the diplomat conveyed warm words of greeting from the President of the Republic of Nicaragua Daniel Ortega Saavedra, who addressed the President of Turkmenistan with wishes of good health, as well as peace and prosperity to the fraternal people of the friendly country.

As the Ambassador emphasized, it is a great honor for her to represent her country in Turkmenistan, which has gained high international authority thanks to its peaceful course and positive initiatives.

During the conversation, the plenipotentiary representative of the Republic of Nicaragua was informed in detail about the main directions of the domestic and foreign policy of independent neutral Turkmenistan, large-scale reforms initiated by the head of state, as well as major international projects.

The Ambassador of Nicaragua was also familiarized with the structure and multilateral activities of the Turkmen parliament in the context of ongoing large-scale reforms. In this regard, mutual interest was expressed in intensifying interparliamentary contacts in the legislative sphere.

Particularly noted was the accession of the Republic of Nicaragua to the Group of Friends of Sustainable Transport, established on July 6, 2022 at the initiative of Turkmenistan.

At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Nicaragua Tatiana Daniela Garcia Silva assured that, for her part, she would make every effort to further deepen traditionally friendly relations and bring them to a qualitatively new, high level.
