Decree of the President of Turkmenistan on the celebration of Gurban bayramy

In order to carefully preserve the original spiritual and moral values of the Turkmen people, consistently enhance the national traditions and customs inherited from our ancestors, further strengthen the unity and cohesion of our courageous, inspired people in the era of the Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, guided by the noble principles of generosity, good nature and humanism, and also in accordance with Article 81 of the Labour Code of Turkmenistan, I decree:

1. The national holiday of the Turkmen people, Gurban bayramy (Eid al-Adha), shall be celebrated on the 16th – 17th – 18th of June, 2024.

2. The day off shall be moved from the 16th of June, 2024 to Wednesday – 19th of June.

3. All institutions, enterprises and organizations, regardless of their form of ownership, shall ensure the implementation of this Decree.
