The International Scientific Conference "Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi" was held today in the capital, as part of the events marking the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great thinker and classical poet Magtymguly.

The main goals of the scientific forum were an in-depth study and popularization of the literary and philosophical heritage of the outstanding Turkmen poet Magtymguly, and the exploration of the interrelationship between the languages and literatures of the peoples of the East.

The grand opening of the international conference, organized by the Magtymguly Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, took place in the conference hall of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

This forum, along with the scientific intelligentsia of our country, brought together representatives of academic circles and relevant specialists from a number of foreign countries, including Azerbaijan, Armenia, Afghanistan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Hungary, Germany, Georgia, India, Spain, Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Malaysia, UAE, Pakistan, Russia, Romania, Republic of Korea, USA, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, France and others. Among the foreign guests were leaders and representatives of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY).

The welcoming Address of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the participants of the International Scientific Conference "Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi", read out at the grand opening, expressed confidence that this forum will be of great importance in the deep and comprehensive study of the rich and valuable literary heritage of Magtymguly Fragi, which has entered the golden treasury of world literature and is widely known for his amazing lines.

As emphasized in the message of the head of state: "Magtymguly Fragi was a great thinker who made an enormous contribution to the development of Turkmen and world literature with his meaningful poems. The pearl poetry of Magtymguly Fragi, who infinitely reveres wisdom, humanism and benevolence, is a world of humanistic principles valuable for all mankind. The poems of the master poet, imbued with deep rational ideas, educate a person at all stages of his life, glorify great love and human dignity."

The special significance of the international conference in the context of scientific research on Magtymguly's manuscript heritage was emphasized in the speeches of foreign delegates.  

The foreign delegates, expressing sincere gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for the high level of organization of the conference and the invitation to participate in it, noted its importance in the development of humanitarian cooperation, strengthening friendship and brotherhood between peoples, bringing constructive dialogue to a new level.
