The President of Turkmenistan ordered to send humanitarian aid to Afghanistan

Based on the age-old humanistic traditions and principles of the Turkmen people, based on friendly, fraternal and good neighbourly relations, as well as in order to continue the noble humanitarian activities of providing, with the assistance of the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people, firstly turn to the children of Afghanistan, in connection with the earthquake that occurred on the 7th of October, 2023 in the Afghan province of Herat, the President of Turkmenistan signed an Order, according to which in October 2023 the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Textile Industry, as well as the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs are ordered to donate appropriate medicines and medical supplies, food and textile products to the Afghan side free of charge as humanitarian aid.

The document also orders the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to organize the dispatch and transfer of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan in October 2023.
