The tallest building in the world - the Burj Khalifa skyscraper in Dubai (UAE) - on the 27th of September, in honour of Turkmenistan's Independence Day, was painted in the colors of the National Flag of our country. Spectacular illumination turned the 828-meter building into a shining red-green stalagmite with Turkmen gels and a crescent moon with five stars, which became a unique and expressive gesture of friendship and brotherhood.
Topped by a gleaming 180-metre metal spire, this grand skyscraper is a key element of Dubai's business district.
Also, in honour of the Independence Day of Turkmenistan, in the city of Cappadocia (Turkey), a popular destination for tourists from all over the world, a balloon with the inscriptions «Congratulations on the Independence Day of Turkmenistan!» and «Long live the Turkmen-Turkish relations of friendship and brotherhood» soared into the sky!
The United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Turkey are long-standing and major trade and economic partners of Turkmenistan. Contacts are effectively developing in various areas, including through business structures.
The interest of Emirati and Turkish businesses in strengthening their positions in the promising Turkmen market is also growing, which is due to the far-sighted investment policy implemented by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the comprehensive transformation programs and projects deployed in the country aimed at industrialization and the formation of a modern diversified industrial infrastructure based on the introduction of advanced technologies and developments.
