Under the wise leadership of the respected President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in the era of the Revival of a new epoch of a powerful state, large-scale transformations are being implemented for the socio-economic development of our country, consistently increasing the living standards of the people.

New settlements created on the territory of the Gokdepe etrap of the Ahal velayat indicate the successful implementation of the tasks defined by the «National Program of the President of Turkmenistan to transform the social and living conditions of the population of villages, towns, cities of etraps and etrap centres for the period until 2028».

Taking into account the creation of new settlements in the Gokdepe etrap of the Ahal velayat, the wishes of the residents of the Gokdepe etrap of the Ahal velayat and the petition of the hakimlik of the Ahal velayat, as well as the submission of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan and in accordance with the Law of Turkmenistan «On the procedure for resolving issues of the administrative-territorial division of Turkmenistan», the Mejlis of Turkmenistan decides:

1. Classify new settlements created in the Gokdepe etrap of Ahal velayat as villages and assign the name «Kopetdagyn yalkymy» to the village created on the territory of the Kopetdag geneshlik and the name «Nurly Zaman» to the village created on the territory of the Ovadandepe geneshlik and henceforth call them respectively, «the village of Kopetdagyn yalkymy of the geneshlik of Kopetdag, Gokdepe etrap, Ahal velayat» and «the village of Nurly zaman of the geneshlik of Ovadandepe, Gokdepe etrap, Ahal velayat».

2. Transfer the administrative centre of the Kopetdag geneshlik of the Gokdepe etrap of the Ahal velayat to the village of Kopetdagyn yalkymy.

3. Transfer the administrative centre of the Ovadandepe geneshlik of the Gokdepe etrap of the Ahal velayat to the village of Nurly Zaman.

4. The Ministry of Agriculture of Turkmenistan, together with the hakimlik of the Ahal velayat, shall, in accordance with the established procedure, describe the administrative-territorial boundaries of the village of Kopetdagyn yalkymy of the Kopetdag geneshlik and the village of Nurly zaman of the Ovadandepe gengeshlik of the Gokdepe etrap of the Ahal velayat.

5. Make appropriate changes to the List of administrative-territorial units of Turkmenistan, approved by Resolution of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan № 112-IV dated on 10th of May, 2010.
