The «gold» success of the young chess player

In Sochi (Russia), the world chess championship among schoolboys in the 7-17-year-old age group was held, in which Turkmen sportsman Saparmyrat Atabayev won gold medal. Our compatriot achieved this success in the age group under 17. Several hundreds of chess players from 30 countries took part in the competitions. S.Atabayev gained seven points from nine possible, having added to his numerous victories tone more «gold» of the planet’s championship. Noteworthy is the fact that the alumni of the Honoured Coach of Turkmenistan Aidogdy Atabayev possess tens of awards of international level. One such is the gold award of the World Chess Olympic Games which took place in 2012 in Istanbul (Turkey). S.Atabayev is also the national champion by the number of victories in the championships of Turkmenistan among juniors: 20 times he stood on the higher step of the podium of honour.
