Today, the Turkmen-American business forum was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which was attended by leaders and leading specialists of government and business structures of the two friendly countries.
The delegation, headed by the Executive Director of the Turkmen-American Business Council Eric Stewart, included representatives of such companies as Bechtel Corporation, Boeing, Niklaus Companies, Climate Compass, Case New Holland, UGT Renewables , John Deere, Medtronic plc, Oxbow, Palo Alto Networks, Smartmatic, Wiza, Westport Trading Europe Ltd.
The current event is aimed at further development of the Turkmen-American trade and economic relations in the context of the "open door" policy successfully pursued by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
The speakers emphasized that Turkmenistan, which is implementing the strategy of diversifying the economy, including by actively attracting the best world experience and advanced technologies, is open to constructive interaction and welcomes the desire of the business circles of the United States of America to strengthen its positions in the Turkmen market.
A favorable investment climate and an optimal organizational and legal mechanism for doing business have been created in our country, which helps to attract an increasing number of potential foreign partners to work in the promising Turkmen market.
Speaking about the great interest of leading American companies in deepening multifaceted cooperation, the guests confirmed their desire to take an active part in the implementation of large-scale government programs in the interests of the people of the country, for the benefit of the entire Central Asian region, in the name of strengthening peace and trust on the planet.
As noted, since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the United States of America, a rich experience of joint activities has been accumulated. Companies such as John Deere, Case, General Electric, Boeing are successfully operating in strategically important sectors of the economy of our country.

A separate topic of discussion was the activities of the Business Council "Turkmenistan-USA" and its role in strengthening economic relations built on a long-term and mutually beneficial basis. In this regard, it was emphasized that the regular business meetings, forums and exhibitions organized by this structure contribute to the establishment of close contacts between the public and private circles of both countries.
Trade and investment activities in the fields of industry, agriculture, as well as the supply of equipment for the national agro-industry and water management were named priority areas for the development of the partnership.
Good prospects are also seen in the development of the fuel and energy sector, in the field of transport and communications, construction, innovative technologies, healthcare, ecology, etc.
Speaking about bringing bilateral cooperation to a new level in various areas of the economy and investments, high technologies, about the possibility of expanding trade between Turkmenistan and the United States, the participants of the event outlined specific plans for joint work in priority areas.
Within the framework of the forum, which was held in a businesslike and constructive manner, meetings were held between representatives of ministries, departments and private companies of our country with business circles in America.
Thus, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and the American company Niklaus Companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of a golf club.
At the end of the meeting, the forum participants expressed confidence in the further successful development of the Turkmen-American partnership, which has received new dynamics and content in recent years.
