The country's central bank issued gold and silver coins on the occasion of the 15th Summit of Heads of State of the Organization for Economic Cooperation held in Ashgabat on November 28 of this year on ECO Day, each in denomination of 100 manats.
This high-level meeting will be held in the Turkmen capital under the chairmanship of Turkmenistan in the ECO in 2021. This event is another clear confirmation of the steadily growing international authority of our country, under the leadership of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, consistently developing a constructive partnership - both at the interstate level and at the level of the largest regional and international structures.
It should be noted that this Summit symbolically coincided with the significant date of the national calendar - the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Motherland. Turkmenistan, as the country holding the ECO presidency, sees its main goal in consolidating the accumulated positive experience of integration cooperation in the Organization's space and increasing its effectiveness. The leader of the nation noted in his speeches that during the chairmanship, our country will make every effort to intensify joint activities within the ECO in terms of implementing the agreements reached, developing and implementing new programs for expanding productive relations.
