The country's central bank issued gold and silver coins on the occasion of the 15th Summit of Heads of State of the Organization for Economic Cooperation held in Ashgabat on November 28 of this year on ECO Day, each in denomination of 100 manats.

This high-level meeting will be held in the Turkmen capital under the chairmanship of Turkmenistan in the ECO in 2021. This event is another clear confirmation of the steadily growing international authority of our country, under the leadership of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, consistently developing a constructive partnership - both at the interstate level and at the level of the largest regional and international structures.

It should be noted that this Summit symbolically coincided with the significant date of the national calendar - the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Motherland. Turkmenistan, as the country holding the ECO presidency, sees its main goal in consolidating the accumulated positive experience of integration cooperation in the Organization's space and increasing its effectiveness. The leader of the nation noted in his speeches that during the chairmanship, our country will make every effort to intensify joint activities within the ECO in terms of implementing the agreements reached, developing and implementing new programs for expanding productive relations.

The issue of commemorative coins in honor of the 15th Summit of Heads of State of the Organization for Economic Cooperation in Ashgabat will become a vivid symbol of a successfully developing constructive dialogue that meets both national priorities and common interests.

Numismatic novelties were produced by the “Eng Leong Medallis Industries Pte Ltd” company of the Republic of Singapore. The obverse of the coin depicts the outline of the globe, with the ECO symbol in the center. On the upper part and on both sides, there is an inscription: “YKDYSADY HYZMATDAŞLYK GURAMASYNA AGZA DÖWLETLERIŇ DÖWLET BAŞTUTANLARYNYŇ 15-NJI DUŞUŞYGY”, and in the lower part - the year of issue of the coin “2021” and two small octagonal patterns.

On the reverse, the State Emblem of Turkmenistan is traditionally located in the center, above the Emblem, along the upper edge of the coin, there is an inscription “TÜRKMENISTANYŇ MERKEZI BANKY” in a semicircle. In the lower part there is an inscription indicating the denomination of the coin – “ÝÜZ MANAT”, and to the left of it are the pureness and weight of numismatic novelties. The inscriptions are separated by patterns in the form of octagons.

The gold coin, with a diameter of 38.61 mm and a weight of 39.94 grams, is distinguished by a fairly high standard - 916.7. The silver coin is made of 925 sterling silver, the weight of which, with the same diameter, is 28.28 grams. The high quality of the coins – “proof” – is guaranteed by the certificate of the Central Bank of Turkmenistan attached to them.

The rarities that have added to the priceless numismatic collection of the Central Bank of the country will be a wonderful gift for numerous domestic and foreign collectors.
