An award ceremony was held today, in the capital's Mekan Palace, on behalf of the leader of the nation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, for tenants, cotton growers, grain growers, machine operators, agricultural scientists, breeders and other agricultural specialists who make a worthy contribution to the development of the country's agricultural sector.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, at a meeting held on November 11th of this year via digital system with the participation of members of the Milli Gengesh, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers in charge of the agricultural complex, and heads of public organizations, signed Decrees on state awards to agricultural workers who have distinguished themselves in work and have achieved great success.
The event was attended by the leadership of the Mejlis of Milli Gengesh, members of the Cabinet of Ministers, representatives of ministries and sectoral departments, the capital and velayat hyakimliks, public organizations, the media, scientists and cultural figures, masters of arts, elders, student youth.
The festive atmosphere prevailing on the square near the Mekan Palace was enhanced by the performances of popular vocalists, who performed dedications to the independent Motherland.
The concert program reflected the richness of modern Turkmen art. The audience enjoyed the performances of the country's renowned choreographic ensembles. The performances of popular performers of folk and pop songs, as well as folklore ensembles, worthily continuing the original traditions of national art, were awarded with friendly applause.
An exhibition was organized in the foyer of the Mekan Palace, prepared by specialized departments and enterprises. Here, in a large assortment, the products of the cotton-growing and cotton-processing, grain-growing industries, food industry, as well as elite varieties of seeds were demonstrated.
Chureks freshly baked in tamdyr, mouth-watering pies, other national delicacies and types of products produced by hardworking farmers, seeds of productive varieties of various agricultural crops, including rice and corn, melons and gourds, fruits and vegetables were widely presented at the show.
Then, an award ceremony was held for leading agricultural workers who arrived in the capital from all regions of the country.
From the festively decorated stage, the decree on awarding agricultural workers with state awards was read.
The speakers addressed the head of state with sincere gratitude for the comprehensive care and reforms in the agro-industrial complex, within the framework of which a large-scale purposeful work is being carried out to improve this strategic sector of the national economy, increase the well-being of rural workers, create all conditions for their decent life and creative work. As it was emphasized, each year of the independent development of Turkmenistan is filled with glorious political, economic and cultural events that convincingly testify to the confident progress of the country to new heights of progress.
A ceremony of honoring and presenting valuable gifts to the workers of the agro-industrial complex, machine operators and experienced workers of the industry who grew rich yields of wheat, cotton and other agricultural crops was also held today afternoon, in the conference hall of the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov in honor of the Harvest Festival.
The participants expressed their sincere gratitude to the leader of the nation for active care for rural workers, the conditions created for fruitful work of farmers, and assured that with their new labor victories they would make a significant contribution to the prosperity of independent neutral Turkmenistan.
