President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent a Welcoming Address to the environment preservation workers of independent neutral Turkmenistan. The message reads as follows:

I sincerely congratulate you on the World Environment Day, which is widely celebrated in the year ongoing under the motto «Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Peace and Trust»!

Independent Turkmenistan is implementing the domestic and foreign policy of universal significance Iin the field of environment preservation,. Having joined tens of United Nations conventions in this field, our country is responsibly approaching the Sustainable Development Goals set before the world community.

Turkmenistan came up with initiatives for environment preservation, rational use of land and water resources, ensuring food security, and reducing risks from natural disasters at sessions of the United Nations General Assembly, high-level conferences on sustainable development.

I once again sincerely congratulate you on World Environment Day! I wish you sound health, family wellbeing, great success in your inspired and fruitful work to preserve the beautiful nature of our country which is flourishing in the Prosperous Epoch of the Powerful State!
