I sincerely congratulate you on World Bicycle Day! I am convinced that the events to be organized in the year under the motto "Turkmenistan - Homeland of Peace and Trust" on the occasion of World Bicycle Day, symbolizing peaceful and friendly relations, will be important in strengthening the health of our citizens and ensuring environmental well-being.
Today, Turkmenistan, guided by national and universal interests, calls for the unification of international efforts. The adoption three years ago, at the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly, at the initiative of our state, a special Resolution that approved the World Bicycle Day on June 3 each year, increased the authority of Turkmenistan in the world arena as a country of health and happiness, became evidence of the recognition that our independent The Homeland attaches great importance to human health, which is the highest value of society and the state.
World Bicycle Day has a special place in the national calendar. This date symbolizes the triumph of the high principles of friendship and peace, sport and humanism, the unity and cohesion of our society.
In order to improve the environment in the main city of the Homeland, create a favorable environment, on the initiative of the capital’s khyakimlik and public organizations of Turkmenistan, from May 10 to 25 of 2021 days without vehicles were announced in Ashgabat. Restricting the movement of vehicles, except for public transport serving the population, has become one of the actions implemented to ensure the environmental well-being of the country's main city. Mass bicycle rides and other events took place in the capital these days.
In the prosperous epoch of powerful state, in the year when the authority of Turkmenistan and our friendly people is strengthening in the world, mass sports events are traditionally held on the occasion of the World Bicycle Day in the velayats of the country and Ashgabat city with great inspiration at high level. Cycling competitions, bicycle rides, organized conferences on the importance of this kind of sport increase the authority and glory of our powerful state, friendly people.

The socio-economic potential of sovereign Turkmenistan and its cultural development are strongly interconnected with the happiness and well-being of the people, the health of society, the harmonious physical and spiritual development of generations. Guided by this lofty goal, in accordance with the principle "The state is for people!" beautiful villages and cities are created, modern industrial complexes are built, the positions of our state in the world are consistently strengthened.
Along with this, we attach special importance to the development of mass physical education, the Olympic movement, and sports in our powerful state. National programs and comprehensive transformations are being successfully implemented in this direction. In a short period of time, the Homeland has built large sports and equestrian complexes, stadiums, sports schools, the Olympic Village that meet world standards, and a modern sports infrastructure has been created. Also, medical centers equipped with innovative technologies, specialized clinics, sanatoriums are built, a healthcare sector is being created that meets world standards, and great success is achieved in this direction.
Sport is a source of energy, will, beauty and health. Wonderful successes achieved by our masters of sports and athletes at competitions held at the international and world level foster love for the great Homeland in our society, further strengthen our unity and solidarity. And, therefore, I am convinced that the country's youth at international sports competitions, having demonstrated a true example of patriotism, dedication, real skill, will make a worthy contribution to further increasing the sports prestige of Turkmenistan!
