President of Turkmenistan gave startup to the Unmanned Air Vehicles Centre

On August 4, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov arrived in the new Unmanned Air Vehicles Centre (UAVC) under the Ministry of Interior Affairs. At the square, near the Centre, the head of state received a report of the State Security Secretary, Minister of National Security Ya.Berdiev. The Interior Minister I.Mulikov reported to President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of Armed Forces of the country Army General Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov on readiness of the Unmanned Air Vehicles Centre for operation. Then after cutting the symbolic ribbon at the front access door, to the applause of the people assembled, the leader of nation proceeded to the central building of the Centre. The display installed in the hall of building enables to monitor the entire cycle of complex works including production of the unmanned air vehicles, launch of UAV, and preparation of the related components and accessories of the vehicles’ equipment. In the course of familiarization with the Centre, the head of state showed close interest in the aircrafts, their types, details of preparation of the facilities, drafts and drawings. Visiting the military uniform tailoring workshop, the leader of nation acquainted with its equipment, samples of uniforms for servicemen of the Centre, as well as with the technology of sewing parachutes for the UAV. As the head of state noted, the uniform clothes and other equipment should be maximum comfortable for servicemen, meet the local climate conditions, and be modern and stylish. In the course of familiarization with the radio electronics department, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov evinced interest in every detail of unmanned aircrafts and compliance of their equipment with the growing demands of the day. As a specialist of the department said, the locall-produced equipment meets the international quality standards; UAV are equipped with radio electronic systems manufactured by the leading international producers. Further, the President of Turkmenistan acquainted with the operational characteristics of new facilities and vehicles exhibited on the Center’s special platform and which are used by different structures of the Interior Ministry: motor transport vehicles, fire-engines, specialized machinery necessary in field conditions. Then the test flight was accomplished of the Center’s first-time produced unmanned air vehicle. The UAV is capable to fly at different heights, and with its help one can get necessary information and pictures; and parachute-packing of the UAV is its most important feature - due to it the UAV can be landed at any place. In the course of watching the UAV flight, the head of state recognized the advisability of using the UAVs for controlling traffic rules and fire safety. The nation’s leader has also necessitated sustainable progress of the Center’s work, training of the Center’s personnel, study of the opportunities of using the UAVs not only in the MIA divisions and other law enforcement bodies and military units, but also in different sectors of the country’s national economy. The head of state has also concentrated attention on the importance of making analysis of the issue of dovetailing the UAV’s activity with the national artificial satellite of Turkmenistan «TürkmenÄlem 520Е». In this regard, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov gave to the relevant authorities a number of executive instructions on introducing the latest achievements of science in the sphere of military and law-enforcement bodies, as well as in the sectors of economy of the country, in particular, it refers to the use of highly efficient GPS system. Startup of the Unmanned Air Vehicles Centre in the capital testifies to practical approach to realization of the task on creating the national electronic industry the President of Turkmenistan forwarded at the out-of-office session of the Cabinet of Ministers on June 27 this year. As the head of state noted, the Center is an illustrative example of the concrete measures implemented in the frames of large-scale programs of industrialization realized in the country. Thereupon, the head of state gave to the relevant authorities a number of instructions related to opening of radio electronics departments in the appropriate higher education establishments where the demand-driven specialists will be trained for the Center. The leader of nation Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov signed his name on the first pilot model of the unmanned aircraft vehicle «Аsudaasman» and made a memorial note in the Book of Distinguished Guests.
