Summing up the outcomes of the session of the Cabinet of Ministers and addressing the participants, the Head of the State highlighted that internal and foreign policy of our independent and neutral state based on the principles of peace-loving and humanity remains the same. Being committed to these high principles, Turkmenistan continued its dynamic development in this year. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the growth of national economy is kept on stable level and all programmes adopted in the country are successfully carried out. The growth rate of the GDP is provided on high level of 6.2 percent. Comparing with the same period of the last year, high growth rates remain in all branches. More than 30 big industrial facilities and livestock farming complexes have been opened for this period. New living houses of more than 1 million square meters, hospitals and sanatoriums, kindergarten and schools, shops to total amount for 3.5 billion US dollars have been put into operation. The works according to the strategy of diversification of the routes of energy to the world markets and plans in this sphere are continued. New power line to neighbouring Afghanistan has been put into operation recently. The project of construction of Turkmenistan – Afghanistan – Pakistan – India gas line and other regional projects, which have great political, economic and humanitarian importance and would give strong impulse to the development of economy of the countries in the region, are successfully realized. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that millions of kilowatt of Turkmen energy have already been delivered to Afghanistan, which supported the improvement of social and living conditions of the population of fraternal state and creation of new production and working places. Sport events are continued in the country under the programme “Turkmenistan – the Heart of the Great Silk Road”. Preparation to international rally, the World Weightlifting Championship and other political and social events is actively carried out. Speaking of this, the Head of the country stated that there are still many objectives that were discussed and to be solved. In this regard, the President ordered the Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers and hyakims to hold under strict control the course of the changes in the country, construction of the facilities under their supervision. Special attention is to be paid to the fulfilment of the programmes of construction of social facilities, in other words, to all objectives of further improvement of social and living condition of native people, the President highlighted.
