The Head of the State was met by the officials at Turkmenbashy International Airport. Honoured elders presented the bread and salt. The elders expressed the gratitude to the Head of the State for permanent care of the improvement of the wellbeing and life level of Turkmenistan citizens and wished him strong health and new successes in his activity for the sake of the country as well as congratulated the Head of the State on coming opening of International Seaport in Turkmenbashy. Having expressed the gratitude for warm words, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that independent neutral Turkmenistan carries out large-scale projects not only in the country but also in the world. Pursuing open door policy, we follow wise principles of good relations with the neighbours inherited to Turkmen nation and bequeathed by our ancestors. We have done huge work for the formation of transport and transit corridors – we have built airports, we lay new automobile and rail roads not only in the country but in other fraternal countries, which would give positive effect in the future, the Head of the State said. Here, on ancient Turkmen land in Balkan velayat, We have built new seaport meeting international standards, the Head of the State continued, having highlighted that we call Caspian Sea as the sea of peace and prosperity. And it is so indeed, the Head of the State said, as this seaport would make effect on the consolidation of economic potential of our country and other countries as well. We have started large-scale diversification of fuel and energy complex and we realize targeted programmes in all velayats. According to the programme of social and economic development of Balkan velayat, numerous cultural facilities, kindergartens, schools and hospitals would be built in the region. New health improving facility is to be opened in Avaza this year. Of course, it makes us happy, the Head of the State said, however, there are many things to do more. Topical issues of the country’s development will be discussed at the session of the People’s Council that will be held before the Independence Day of Turkmenistan. All our large-scale programmes realized under slogan “The State for Human Being!” are aimed at the provision of wealth and prosperity of native people, the President noted and expressed the gratitude to the elders for their contribution to the consolidation of unity and solidarity in the society especially in patriotic upbringing of growing generation. After, the Head of the State was greeted with poems and songs performed by children. Performance of art ensembles presenting bright musical composition ended up by kushtdepdy dance took place afterwards. Having expressed the gratitude to the artists, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov went to his residence on the Caspian coast.
