President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov congratulated Ilham Aliev on the re-election as the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In his congratulatory address the President of Turkmenistan noted that the victory of Ilham Aliev in the presidential elections vividly testifies that the people of Azerbaijan highly supports the course pursued by the President of Azerbaijan with the aim to consolidate the statehood and the socio-economic development of the country. “Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan have connected with the centuries-old ties of friendship and good neighbourliness. I believe that the high level of cooperation and mutual understanding, established between our countries, will provide a solid foundation for the further progressive development and strengthening of the Turkmen-Azerbaijani relations in the name of the two fraternal peoples”, says the President of Turkmenistan in his address. Taking the opportunity, the President of Turkmenistan wished Ilham Aliev strong health, wellbeing and outstanding achievements at the high political office in the name of peace, progress and prosperity of the fraternal people of Azerbaijan.
