Renowned German musicians of band FAVO, Falk Breitkreuz and Volker Schlott, together with the famous Belgian vocalist, Sander De Winne, put the capital’s residents in the spring mood with the sounds of jazz. The concert, co-organized by the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in our country and the Goethe Institute (Almaty), turned into a wonderful gift not only for the inspired audience and jazz lovers, but also for performers who made their contribution to the development of the creative dialog between the countries. On stage of the Vatan Cinema and Concert Hall, the foreign musicians presented to the public their own pieces and cover versions of songs by Bobby McFerrin, Ariel Ramirez and Chick Corea. Jazz singer, Maisa Niyazova, and percussionist, Dovlet Ivanov, contributed to the concert. With German colleagues they performed a classical ballad, Somewhere over the Rainbow, and This Masquerade. Supported by the audience, FAVO performed Aýly Agşam, a piece quite popular in our country. The hall exploded with applause towards the end of the song.
