At the session of the Government of Turkmenistan that took place on 6 April, it was communicated that preparations were underway for the construction of the potash plant in Lebap province and the Ashgabat–Turkmenabat highway. As reported by Vice Premier, O.Gurbannazarov, in accordance with Resolutions by the President of Turkmenistan, a preferential loan was allocated to build a mining and processing plant for production of potash fertilizers, and to construct a high-speed freeway. The President instructed the Vice Premier to prepare and present detailed documents on the construction of the potash plant and the highway, and, stressing the importance of these projects for the economy of Turkmenistan, noted the need for their thorough elaboration.
