The President of Turkmenistan signed a Resolution on authorizing the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan and the khyakimliks of velayats to ensure fulfillment of the 2015-production plan for 2,000 tons of raw silk cocoons, including Akhal velayat - 155 tons, Balkan velayat - 25 tons, Dashoguz velayat - 470 tons, Lebap velayat - 950 tons, and Mary velayat - 400 tons. The Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan is assigned to make general agreements with khyakimliks of velayats on production of silk cocoons, as well as to supply the necessary quantities of high-quality silkworms to daikhan associations in velayats via the “Turkmenýüpek” Joint-Stock Association. The khyakimliks of velayats are prescribed to ensure complete fulfillment of contractual obligations in accordance with the within-said Resolution.
