In the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was held a meeting with the First Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee – Executive Secretary of the Commonwealth of Independent States V.Guminskiy, who heads the CIS Observer Mission monitoring the preparation for the elections of Mejlis Deputies of Turkmenistan. In the course of meeting, the sides exchanged views on priority orientations and prospects of constructive partnership within the CIS, special attention was paid to the further development of interstate cooperation. Emphasizing the positive role of peaceful foreign policy of Turkmenistan, based on the principles of positive neutrality, the guest informed about the Mission’s operational principles, and organization of its work. During these days, monitoring, the Commonwealth of Independent States observers have been acquainted with the activities of district and precinct election commissions of a number of electoral districts of Ashgabat. In the observers’ opinion, outlined in the regular information report of the Mission Headquarters, in the constituencies the necessary conditions are created for the work of electoral commissions, they are provided with premises, modern means of communication, legal and methodological literature.
