Another round of election campaign – nomination of candidates to the members of the People’s Council of National Assembly, is finished in Turkmenistan.

Preservation and popularization of national historical and cultural heritage are the priorities of the government policy. Development of breeding of Turkmen shepherd dogs and further improvement of this unique breed have become an important aspect of large-scale work in this direction.

On February 18, the Institute of International Relations of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan has hosted scientific conference “Diplomacy of Turkmenistan – History, Present, Future”, which was timed to the Day of Diplomatic Workers of the country.

On February 17, the award ceremony of won prize to the amount of 1 million US dollars to S. A. Niyazov district, which was a winner of the best district of the country contest in 2020, has been held in Bagtyýar zaman village, Dashoguz Region.

In accordance with the legislation, Turkmenistan continues work on the registration of vaccines for the prevention of viral diseases, on the instruction of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, negotiations are held with foreign manufacturers.

On January 28, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a regular meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on ensuring the fulfillment of Turkmenistan's international obligations in the field of human rights and international humanitarian law. Representatives of the Mejlis, a number of ministries and sectoral departments, and public organizations of the country attended the meeting.

The President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution, approving the Programme for the Support and Development of Physical Culture and Sports in Turkmenistan for 2021-2025 and the Action Plan for its implementation.

Under the careful guidance of the nation’s leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, massive efforts are being made in our country to protect the nation’s health, prevent and eradicate infectious diseases, promote sanitary and epidemiological welfare, and develop the health and medical care system.

Intended for a wide readership, it continues a series of articles on new discoveries and results of research studies on the Turkmen nation’s historical-cultural and spiritual heritage.

The latest issue of ‘Democracy and Law’, a quarterly scholarly journal published by the Institute of State, Law and Democracy, has just come out. It is devoted to the significant date of 2020 – 25 years of Turkmenistan’s neutrality.
