The President of Turkmenistan has signed a decree on the construction of housing for people with disabilities and people in need of social protection. According to the document, multifamily residential buildings will be erected in Ahal, Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap and Mary welayats and the city of Ashgabat. Hakimliks of the welayats and the capital will conclude appropriate contracts with local construction companies.

During familiarization with the situation at Mary hydro power station, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov spoke with the personnel of the facility and answered the questions.

State education system is replenished by new institutions every year. Only in 2016 Turkmenistan has opened 35 new educational institutions.

The residents of Oguzboy settlement in Ruhubelent etrap of Dashoguz Velayat will receive new water pipeleine, which is currently under construction according to the programme for provision of the population with quality drinking water. Realization of combined measures includes replacement of worn equipment and outdated methods of water purification, construction of water pressure facilities, introduction of new methods of control for sanitary, hygienic and ecological requirements.

A new citizen of Turkmenistan was born at the Maternal and Child Health Research Centre in the first minutes of the New Year. He is the first reported baby born in 2017 in our country.
