The session of the central commission for elections and referenda in which the issues connected with preparation for elections deputies of the Mejlis instead of those who have quitted their positions ahead of schedule by separate electoral districts and also elections of members of the khalk maslahaty, members of the gengesh in connection with changes made to the administrative-territorial organization of velayats on May 21, were considered, took place. In the session, besides members of the central electoral committee, executive workers of central bodies of the Democratic Party, Party of industrialists and entrepreneurs, Agrarian party, public organisations and associations of the country and representatives of the mass media took part. Reports of heads of velayat election committees on the course of the organizational work developed in places, including establishment of electoral districts and commissions on elections of deputies of the Mejlis, members of the khalk maslahaty and the gengesh were listened to. Among paramount tasks participants of the session defined maintenance of transparency and wide alternativeness of elections and also conduction of appropriate explanatory work among the population.
