The XIII Specialized Exhibition of goods of the Islamic Republic of Iran has opened in the Expo-Center of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry that is participated by about 40 large Iranian companies doing business in such areas as the light, heavy, oil-gas and chemical industries, energy sector, construction, food production, etc.

The 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games will be watched and listened to throughout the world. Turkmenistan is preparing for a large-scale sporting event to be held at high level this autumn. A great deal of work is underway to expand the information and telecommunications networks which will improve the quality of communications and broadcasting.

Today, a youth awareness raising event has been organized in the capital under the motto “A healthy society - the powerful state”, based on such themes as a healthy way of life and struggle against drugs and illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs across the world which is the global problem of mankind. A meeting has been organized by the Central Council of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Mahtumkuli.

At the session of the Government that took place in Ashgabat, the President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, signed the Decree on Conferring the Honorary Title of Turkmenistan, “Ene Mahri”; and the Order on Presenting Monetary Gifts from the President to the Women of the Country on the Occasion of the International Women’s Day.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov instructed the newly appointed Vice Premier S.Toilyev, who supervises the sphere of education and science, to develop the concept of digital educational system of the country.

President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Army General Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov has convened a meeting of the State Security Council of Turkmenistan to approve the Council’s composition and appoint senior officials in the country’s military and law enforcement agencies.

In a conference hall of the State Migration Service, it was held a ceremony of handing the passports to persons being admitted to the citizenship of Turkmenistan in accordance with the relevant Ukase of President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov.

The Central Officers’ House of the Ministry of Defence hosted a presentation of President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov’s new work “Mertler Watany beýgeldýär”. The event was attended by heads and employees of military and law-enforcement authorities, teachers and cadets of military higher education institutions, cultural figures, members of the public and mass media.

Today Turkmenistan celebrates Day of national flag. The major festive actions passed in the Turkmen capital where the flower laying ceremony at the Main Flag of the country took place.

Ashgabat hosted a regular meeting of authorized representatives of the Caspian states, which was attended by the heads and leading specialists of the ministries and departments of Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkmenistan.
