In Turkmenistan the preparation for the forthcoming elections on May 21 is continuing due to changes in the administrative and territorial structure of velayats. Within the framework of the pre-election campaign, candidates for deputies of Mejlis on two constituencies and candidates for members of the Khalk Maslakhaty and Gengesh, their trustees hold meetings with the electorate. Voters get acquainted with professional and organizational qualities of candidates, are interested in their election programs. All registered candidates in accordance with the legislation and international law are given equal rights and opportunities to organize meetings with voters.
