The city of Mary hosted main Novruz festivities in the square in front of the Cultural Events Center, “Türkmeniň Ak Öýi”. Opened in 2015 when the city was a culture capital of the Turkic World, the center became the first of its kind. In accordance with the Decree issued by President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, a similar 3,000-seat concert hall is now under construction in “Nowruz Ýaylasy”, a specially-designated area not far from Ashgabat.

By the outcomes of the Year of Honouring of the Heritage, Transformation of the Motherland and National Spring Holiday, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov enacted to award number of cultural, art and literature workers with monetary prizes from the President of Turkmenistan Charity Fund.

For deserving contribution to the development of national culture, journalism and educational sphere, training of art workers, upbringing of the youth successes in public activity as well as taking into account special merits to the State and the people, high performance and professionalism, years of hard work and on the outcomes of the Year of Honouring of the Heritage and Transformation of the Motherland and on occasion of National Spring Holiday, number of cultural, art and educational sphere workers are awarded with state prizes and titles by the Decree of the Head of the State.

The President of Turkmenistan, Supreme-Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, signed the Decree on military discharge from the Armed Forces and other branches of the military of Turkmenistan of servicemen doing compulsory military service, and the regular conscription for the citizens of Turkmenistan.

10 high-rise apartment blocks, including three houses for 54 apartments and seven houses for 36 apartments, were commissioned today in the capital’s residential area, Parahat-7, located in the southeastern part of Ashgabat.

By Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, the Day of Transport and Communication Workers has been created. The new professional holiday will be observed annually, on 7 March – the day of commissioning of the highway and railway bridges over the Amudarya River.

The President of Turkmenistan signed the Decree on Moving the Day-off on the Occasion of the National Spring Festival in accordance with article 81, paragraph 3, of the Labor Code of Turkmenistan.

Co-organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Enterprise on the Caspian Sea Issues under the President of Turkmenistan, and the International Ocean Institute (IOI), the international training seminar, “The Caspian Sea – sustainable development and management”, has ended in the “Avaza” National Tourist Zone.

The Caspian Sea littoral states are holding a further round of talks on “The Protocol on cooperation in ensuring safe navigation in the Caspian Sea” in the conference hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Ashgabat. Among those attending the talks are representatives of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Iran, the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation.

The President of Turkmenistan has sent his congratulations to participants in an exhibition and a conference timed to coincide with the 9th anniversary of the establishment of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.
