It is notable that on the last bell holiday Ashgabat celebrates its holiday as the business, political, social and cultural center of the country. Two remarkable festivities, combined in one festive event, attached a vivid energy to the Turkmen capital’s life, filling it with beautiful music, fragrance of flowers, and merriment. Early in the morning, school leavers, educators, high achievers, winners of various Olympiads and creative competitions from all regions of the country laid fragrant flowers to the majestic Independence Monument - a symbol of the Homeland’s freedom and its bright future. Flowers were laid at the foot of the Berdymuhamed Annaev Monument in the school No. 27 of the village of Yzgant in Goktepe etrap of Akhal velayat as a tribute of deepest respect to the labor and military feat of the grandfather of the President of Turkmenistan, As is known, now the school named after Berdymuhamed Annaev, who was an exemplary teacher, front-line soldier, collector and popularizer of people’s epics, legends and fairy tales, houses a State Educational and Methodological Center which is the base for professional development of pedagogical staff. In all schools of the country solemn lines in honor of 2016-2017 school leavers were held. Many good wishes were addressed to the children, parents, teachers and mentors. Tours of the Turkmen capital’s sights was organized for school leavers. In the evening, the Song and Music Center ""Ashgabat” became a venue for a grand celebration on the occasion of last bell, as well as the City Day. On behalf of the head of state, the most successful school leavers were awarded valuable gifts. Celebrations, various cultural events in honor of secondary school leavers were held that day in the administrative centers of velayats, and in all regions of the country.
