Today, the International Forum on Attracting Foreign Investments into the Economy of Turkmenistan, organised by the state concerns «Türkmengaz», «Türkmennebit» and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, began its work in the capital of Malaysia.

Among the large-scale works in this direction, measures are actively being taken to reduce methane emissions into the environment.

Today, every day in our country, which is confidently moving towards the heights of development, is marked by events of historical significance, which testifies to the progressive development of Turkmenistan in all spheres. Another example is the successful drilling of well No. 285 at the «Galkynyş» gas field to a depth of 4,452 meters, resulting in a new flow of natural gas with a daily output of 2 million cubic meters from strata at a depth of 4,412 to 4,136 meters.

Speaking at the first Central Asia – European Union Summit, which is being held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov highly appreciated the potential for cooperation between Central Asia and the European Union, identifying the economy, investment, energy, transport, and trade as priority areas of cooperation in this format.

In the current conditions, political and diplomatic interaction between the Central Asian countries and the European Union can have a noticeable constructive impact on the overall situation in the region and neighbouring ring countries, and contribute to the efforts of the world community in this direction, primarily represented by the United Nations, said President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at the first Central Asia-European Union Summit, which is being held in Samarkand, Republic of Uzbekistan.
