On the occasion of International Women's Day, a traditional exhibition-competition was solemnly opened at the Exhibition Centre of the Union of Artists of Turkmenistan.

The closing ceremony of the Year of Culture of the People’s Republic of China in Turkmenistan took place in the capital today. The PRC delegation that arrived in our country on this occasion included leaders and employees of specialized structures, masters of music, dance, acrobatics, as well as mass media representatives – journalists from the Renmin Ribao newspaper and the Xinhua News Agency.

Today, the exhibition of decorative-applied and mosaic arts of Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran was opened in Mary velayat.

The next issue of the Miras quarterly popular science journal, published by the Magtymguly Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan in Turkmen, Russian and English, has been published.

The second day of the IV International Festival "Theater Art of the Age of Happiness" was continued by the Alp Arslan National Drama Theater, presenting the play "White Steamboat" on their stage. The play is based on the eponymous novella by the Soviet and Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov.

National Music and Drama Theatre named after Magtymguly hosted participants of the «Theatrical Art in the Age of Happiness» festival. Actors of the Tatar State Academic Theatre named after Galiasgar Kamal (Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation) took the stage with the play «The Alien». This performance includes stories from the life of an emigrant.

The IV International Festival "Theater Art of the Age of Happiness", was inaugurated today in the Turkmen capital. 

National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, speaking at the summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Astana, spoke in favor of expanding multilateral cooperation between the OTS countries in the field of culture.

Days of culture of Turkmenistan were marked in the Republic of Uzbekistan from the 29th to 31st of October.
