A solemn opening ceremony of the Year of Chinese Culture in Turkmenistan took place in the capital city today.

On October 24, the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan continued in the United States. On the morning of the second day of this important event, the Turkmen delegation met with Timothy Keller, Mayor of Albuquerque.

These days, the International Film Festival «Dawn of Arkadag», held with the participation of Central Asian states, was held at the State Drama Theatre named after Aman Gulmammedov. The organizer of the creative event was the State Committee for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography of Turkmenistan. It should be noted that such a cultural event was held in our country for the first time.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, speaking at the Summit of CIS Heads of State in Bishkek, emphasized that Turkmenistan supports the declaration of Samarkand as the cultural capital of the Commonwealth in 2024.

The next issue of the quarterly popular science magazine "Miras", published by the Magtymguly Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences, has been issued.  

Today in the new city of Arkadag, located in the picturesque foothills of Kopetdag, the V Vienna Ball and a concert of the Turkmen-Austrian Symphony Orchestra «Galkynyş» took place.

Today, a State concert dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of the country’s independence was held at the Mukams Palace of the State Cultural Centre. Stage masters and young pop soloists, famous folklore and dance ensembles, the State Choir, and children's creative groups took part in the festive celebration.

National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of the work of the great philosopher-poet Magtymguly Pyragy.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, speaking at the plenary meeting of the 78th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations in New York, quoted the classic of Turkmen and world literature Magtymguly Pyragy.

Today, the final round of the “Çalsana, bagşy” creative review organized by the Ministry of Culture of the country took place in the Mukams’ Palace of the State Cultural Center.
