The program of cultural events was prepared for the celebrations scheduled for February 23 and 26 in Mary and Lebap velayats on the occasion of the start of the construction the Afghan section of the TAPI gas pipeline, Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan power transmission line, the fiber-optic line along the same route, the opening of Serhetabat-Turgundi railway, the international airport in Lebap velayat and the forthcoming launch of the international rally ""Amul-Khazar 2018"", cycle race and track and field athletics cross. Deputy Prime Minister Abdiyeva B. told about it at the government meeting.

Days of Culture of the Islamic Republic of Iran were closed in the capital. The final event of the celebrations was a concert of art masters of the two countries at the National Music and Drama Theater named after Makhtumkuli.

Turkmenistan, paying great attention to strategic partnership with the UN and its specialized agencies, actively develops cooperation with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

In Ashgabat, the ceremonial opening of the Days of Culture of the Islamic Republic of Iran was held. The event was organized by the Cultural Center of the Embassy of Iran in Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Culture of our country.

A striking event in cultural life of the capital was the opening of the exhibition “Caravaggio in Turkmenistan”, organized under the auspices of the Ministries of Culture and Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, as well as the Italian Embassy in our country.

The program of the upcoming cultural events for February includes the exhibition of selected works of Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio that will be featured at the Museum of Fine Arts 7 through 25 February.

The President of Turkmenistan signed a Decree on announcing the competition among individuals involved in literature, culture and art, young amateur singers and talented children for the awarding of the Prize of the President of Turkmenistan, Türkmeniň Altyn asyry. The winners of the competition will be determined in relevant nominations. Television contest for young amateur singers, Ýaňlan, Diýarym!, and the contest for young talented children, Garaşsyzlygyň merjen däneleri, were launched as part of the competition.

The events of 2017 reflected huge creative potential of national culture. Topical conferences, arts and book exhibitions, concerts, theatre performances, opening ceremonies of new social and cultural facilities marked important dates and national holidays.

The ceremonial closing of the Days of the Republic of Belarus Culture was held in Turkmenistan. The holiday ended with a concert of Belarusian and Turkmen artists under the arches of the majestic Palace of Mukams.

In the Mukams Palace of the State Cultural Center, it was held a solemn opening ceremony of the Culture Days of the Republic of Belarus in Turkmenistan. Large-scale campaign is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations and held in accordance with the Cooperation Programme for the 2017-2020 period between the relevant ministries of the two states.
