The Main Drama Theatre hosted the closing ceremony of theatre festival “the Silk Road of Cordiality”. Representatives of the Ministry of Culture, theatre directors and artists from the capital and velayats took part in the event. Theatre review enriched the stage art of the country with interesting artistic findings and reflected the trends of its development. Award of the certificates and memorable prizes to the groups of all theatres participating in the festival as well as to the winners of the Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Drama, Best Decorator, Best Costume Designer, Best Stage Director, For Outstanding Performance, For Artistic Findings and For Audience Choice Award were the top event. The Heart of the Silk Road by the Drama Theatre of Balkan Velayat has won the Best Drama Award. Perhat Hudayberenov, who made two stage plays – Dayahatyn (Lebap Music and Drama Theatre) and Without the Paddles in the Ocean of Love (Mary Drama Theatre) was recognized as the Best Stage Director. Artist of Alp Arslan National Drama Theatre Perhat Sallandayev (The Star of the East play) has won the Best Actor Award. Actress of Magtumguly Music and Drama Theatre Gulnabat Abdullayeva (Between Amul and Hazar) was the best player of woman role. Actor of the troupe of A. S. Pushkin State Russian Drama Theatre Kerim Atayev who played excellently Ilek Koyan in the Road to the Hearts was the winner of the Best Artistic Findings. The group of Turkmen State Puppet Theatre presenting Son of Caravaniery was awarded as the Best Artistic Group. According to the participants making speech at the closing ceremony, current festival has made significant contribution to the popularization of unique historical and cultural heritage of Turkmen nation. Organization of large-scale art forum indicates the significance of the culture in the strategy of national development.
