One of the priorities of the state policy pursued by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov is an intensive development of agro-industrial complex, which is directly is connected with maintenance of food abundance, expansion of export possibilities of national economy in the country. In this sphere the large scale transformations directed to increase of efficiency of agriculture, increase in the volume of output of various agricultural products is successfully carried out.

In honor of the International Day of the Caspian, which is annually celebrated on August 12 by the five Caspian states, a scientific-practical conference «Cooperation in the field of protection of the marine environment of the Caspian Sea» was held in Ashgabat. 

Today in Bereket district a new water reservoir intended for delivery of water of the Karakum-river to agricultural fields of the western region of the country was put in operation.

As was already informed, in the past extended meeting of the Cabinet held following the results of six months of the year President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov announced holiday for the leadership corps of the country from August 1.

Today in Avaza national tourist zone President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov who is on a working trip to Balkan region, has held an off-site meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers which considered the activities carried out for seven months of the current year, reports of deputy chairmen and determined topical tasks of social and economic development of the country and reviewed drafts of prepared documents.

In accordance with the 2019-2025 Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the country’s socio-economic development, to successfully tackle the tasks assigned to the Turkmenbashi Refinery Complex, to ensure uninterrupted supplies of petroleum products to foreign markets, the President of Turkmenistan has signed a Resolution, authorizing the Turkmenbashi Refinery Complex to conclude a contract with Petro Gas LLP (United Kingdom) for the design and construction of a third loading berth for Kenar, an enterprise specializing in the transportation and storage of petroleum products. Under the terms of the contract, the project shall be fully completed and put into service within 30 months.

By the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan Atayev Serdar Orazmyradovich was appointed Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection for Environmental Protection and Land Resources.

Today, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has conducted an enlarged session of the Cabinet of Ministers. Among those in attendance were Milli Gengesh representatives, heads of ministries and agencies, rectors of higher education institutions, media executives, khyakims of the regions and Ashgabat.

Early in the morning President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov (while on the working trip to Balkan velayat) performed open-air morning fitness exercises and took a bicycle ride along the stretch of the Caspian Sea coast.

Today, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has convened a regular session of the Cabinet of Ministers via digital means to discuss priority issues of state life and some draft documents.
