President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, Army General Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov has signed a Decree on transferring servicemen, doing compulsory military service to the reserve of the Armed Forces, other troops and calling up citizens of Turkmenistan. The Decree authorizes to transfer servicemen doing compulsory military service to the reserve (upon expiration of the term of service) in October-December 2017, and to call up citizens of Turkmenistan – men for military service, who have reached the age of 18 and are not subject to a denial of determent of call-up, as well as older citizens, who have lost the right for a deferment from the call-up.
