Turkmenistan will host several celebratory events to mark 10 days to the start of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games. This was discussed at the session of the Government of Turkmenistan. As President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stated at the meeting, on this day, 7 September, the torch of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games will be lighted at Galkynysh, the largest gas deposit in Turkmenistan, to be delivered to Ashgabat for the gala opening of Asiada. In the morning of that day, a meeting is planned with Turkmen athletes who will participate in the 5th Asian Games, to exhort them and wish good luck in the upcoming important competitions. On the same day the representatives of the Guinness World Records will present certificates confirming that the artistic image of the Ahalteke Horse decorating one of the stands of the Olympic Stadium has been recognized as the planet’s largest architectural symbol of a horse; and the Aquatics Center is now the world’s largest indoor swimming pool.
