On August 12, the Day of the Caspian Sea will be celebrated in the National Tourist Zone ""Avaza"". Within the framework of the event, there will be a scientific and practical conference, sports and cultural events, as well as contests among gifted children dedicated to the nature of the Caspian Sea. This action is carried out to widely popularize Turkmenistan's environmental policy, expand international cooperation aimed at ensuring environmental safety and protection of the marine environment of the Caspian Sea. The organization and holding of the Caspian Sea Day are entrusted to the State Committee for Environmental Protection and Land Resources, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Enterprise for the Caspian Issues at the President of Turkmenistan and Khyakimlik of the Balkan velayat.
