3 gold and 2 silver medals were secured in the U10 juniors group by the Turkmen athlete, Dominica Reimer, during the 14th International Artistic Gymnastics Tournament, Singapore Open, that had gathered about 100 participants from over 20 countries. Our compatriot stepped on the top of the podium following the rope exercise, all-around and exercise without apparatus. She finished second in the ball exercise and the team event. D.Reimer also won gold at the tournament hosted last month by Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). Our compatriot links her international success with her mentors’ work – Chinese coach, Zhou Tianke, and the former member of the Russian National team for this sport, Yulianna Kuznetsova. The Turkmen gymnast is preparing for a number of tournaments to be held in Thailand. In October, Ashgabat will host the National Championship for this sport to mark the 26th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence.
