The International Textile Industry Exhibition opened at the Exhibition Centre in Ashgabat on occasion of the remarkable date in the national calendar, the Day of Textile Worker of Turkmenistan. Six new high-technology enterprises that significantly widened the range of textile products in our country were put into operation in our country within the last three years. Among them are Ruhabat Textile Complex, which manufactures mixed yarn from cotton fibre and polyester as well as fabric, the second turn of Ashgabat Textile Complex, which produces home textiles from high-quality cotton fabric and terry cloth, as well as new spinning department at Abadan coton spinning factory. In 2014, modern cotton spinning factories were built in the cities of Seydi and Turkmenabat in Lebap Velayat and Kunyaurgench Etrap in Dashoguz Velayat that significantly strengthened the processing textile industry in the country. The large-scale exposition showcased a variety of textile products manufactured in our country. These include cotton yarn, silk filament, cotton fabric, denim, terrycloth, knitted fabric, ready-made garments, silk fabric – ketene and panne velvet, beautiful silk carpets, collections of traditional and modern Turkmen dresses decorated with hand-made embroidery as well as souvenirs and accessories. The exposition organizers focused on the knitted and garment manufactures that produce new summer season fashion samples for recreation and practicing sports, including sportswear with the emblem of the V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games. Moreover, the Altyn Asyr Marketing Centre arranged a big fair providing a wide range of clothes, where every visitor could by buy everything they wished. The stands presented by representatives of the private sector in Turkmenistan, including Janin Wedding Boutique, Hobbi Art Studio as well as individual entrepreneurs, who make significant contribution to saturating the market with high-quality domestically produced goods, including fashionable cloth, decorations and other various articles of the decorative and applied arts. The technological aspect of the exhibition was presented by foreign exhibitors. Among them are service centres “Demteks Turkmenistan” and “Belent Turkmen”, which provide warranty service and timely delivery of the latest industrial equipment from leading companies, in particular “Truetzschler”, “Schlafhorst”, “Their”, “Oerlikon”, “Volkmann”, “Terrot”, “Textechno” (Germany), “Ricanol”, “Wan de Wiele” (Belgium), “Uster”, “Luwa” (Switzerland), “Rimtex” (India), “Bejimac” (Luxembourg ) and a group of Italian companies “Marzoli”, “Savio”, “MCS”, “Itema”, “Canalair” and many others. The representatives of these companies held business meetings with their Turkmen colleagues, during which they discussed the prospects for further cooperation. Colorful fashion show prepared by Turkmen designers and their foreign colleagues turned into a colourful festive show. Within the framework of the forum, diplomas and valuable gifts were awarded to the best workers of the industry on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan.
