Famous sportsman, winner of 2000 Sydney Olympics (Australia), World and European Champion and currently Honoured Coach of Russia Alexander Lebzyak will train Turkmen boxers for XXXII World Summer Games 2020 in Tokyo. Masters of Sports from different clubs as well as representatives of the State Committee for Sports and National Boxing Federation gathered in spacious hall, which has already hosted large international tournaments like Asian gyoresh, belt wrestling, sambo and jujitsu championships. During the session, A. Lebzyak corrected the actions of the boxers, showing how to make the attacking more efficient holding the defence at the same time. At the end of the training, the guest shared his opinion with TDH reporter. According to his words, it is necessary to make a focus on the tactics and technique of the fight as the physical condition of Turkmen sportsmen is quite high. Alexander Borisovich, who is in good friendly relations with Turkmen boxing coaches for several decades and knows that we have all capabilities and conditions to bring up the champions including the Olympic ones, said that there are promising outlooks. “There is no way to retreat!” – Russian coach concluded the conversation. The title of the Best Coach 2015 by Amateur International Boxing Association (AIBA) indicates the talent of A. Lebzyak. Alexander Borisovich was a Head Coach of Russian National team as well as Central Sports Club of Army (CSCA) for many years. He brought up such famous boxers as twice Olympic champion Alexey Tischenko, winner of 2008 Peking Olympics Rahim Chahkiyev, twice world champion and winner of the planet cup Matvey Korobov, prize-winners of the main sport events of four-year period Sofya Ochigava and Anastasia Belyakova and many others for his coaching career from 2001. Ashgabat will host Turkmenistan Men Boxing Championship in June of this year, which results will form the composition of national team for participation in the world championship. The Planet Tournament will be held in Hamburg (Germany) on August 25 – September 3. Alexander Lebzyak will select the best boxers for the participation. At present moment, our boxers have intensified training for Asian Championship that will be held in the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent, on April 29 – May 7. After that, Turkmen boxers will face to contest for the medals in IV Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku (Azerbaijan) on May 12 – 22. The programme of these complex competitions includes other 19 sports along with the boxing.
