Young Turkmen chess player is a bronze winner of Asian Championship

Leyla Shohradova is a bronze winner of the Asian Chess Championship among the juniors up to 18 years old in Tashkent. Leyla was competing in rapid discipline among the children up to 10 years old. Around 400 followers of this ancient intellectual game from 18 countries take part in the competition. More than 30 chess players from China, India, Vietnam, United Arab Emirates, Sri-Lanka and others were competing in L. Shohradova group. It is worth reminding that only 15 minutes of clear time is allocated for the game in rapid with additional 10 seconds after each move. Our girl also competes in classic version (1.5 hours with 30 seconds additional time). After two rounds, L. Shohradova scored 1.5 points what placed her among the ten of the best of the championship. The competitions will continue until April 10.
