The President of Turkmenistan has sent his congratulations to participants in an exhibition and a conference timed to coincide with the 9th anniversary of the establishment of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. In his congratulatory address, the head of state noted that independent neutral Turkmenistan has taken its place among the countries with the most sustainable development in the world thanks to enthusiasm and purposeful labor our fellow countrymen. Inspired by the reforms ongoing in the private sector of the economy, entrepreneurs have made a worthy contribution to the impressive achievements, the nation’s leader noted. All-round business development in Turkmenistan, and strengthening the private sector’s role through the wide application of modern-day market mechanisms are one of the priority areas of our country’s socio-economic policy. Since its inception the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan has been making massive efforts to develop market relations in the country, manufacture products and keep them competitive both in the domestic and foreign markets by introducing best practices, high technology and innovations at production facilities. While meeting the consumer demand in the country, products manufactured by local entrepreneurs have increased the private sector’s export potential and occupied a well-deserved place in the world markets. Created by the Union members in foreign countries, trading houses and trade promotion offices and their active participation in international events have significantly contributed to establishing mutually beneficial business contacts with foreign partners, – President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov said. Having highlighted that the state would continue to render strong support to business, the head of state expressed confidence that the forum is of great importance for the private sector’s dynamic development, the popularization of the achievements made in the sector, and the use of accumulated experience.
