Presentation of cars of the new Ravon brand, the successor of Uz-Daewoo, was organized in Ashgabat by Turkmen-UzAUTO business enterprise, a joint venture established by UzAutoSanoat JSC and Turkmenistan State Trade Center of the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan. The event was attended by official representatives of General Motors Uzbekistan (GM Uzbekistan) JSC; SamAuto LLC that specializes in production of Isuzu buses and medium trucks; and the joint Uzbek-German enterprise that produces MAN trucks, special machinery and trailers. Representatives of local industrial structures, heads of diplomatic missions accredited to our country, and car enthusiasts also attended the presentation. Ravon Gentra, Ravon Nexia R3 and Ravon R4 were presented at the event. The representative of the manufacturer stated that the vehicles comply with the world standards and environmental requirements; have air conditioning and power steering; they are economical, and the model range will be expanded. “Ravon” translates from Uzbek as “light, clean, smooth road”, or “easy travel”. Examples of agricultural, construction and municipal machinery manufactured in Uzbekistan were also demonstrated at the presentation. After the presentation, Turkmen and Uzbek artists performed on stage. Turkmen-UzAUTO business enterprise is the distributor of General Motors Uzbekistan (GM Uzbekistan) JSC, and in 10 years sold approximately 2 thousand Chevrolet and Uz-Daewoo cars produced in the neighboring country.
