President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Army General Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov has convened a meeting of the State Security Council of Turkmenistan to approve the Council’s composition and appoint senior officials in the country’s military and law enforcement agencies. Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov appointed Yailym Berdiev Defense Minister and State Security Council Secretary. The head of state also made the following appointments: Begench Gundogdyev - Commander of the State Border Service; Isgender Mulikov - Interior Minister; Amanmyrat Hallyev - Prosecutor General; B. Charyev - Chairman of the Supreme Court; Dovrangeldi Bairamov - National Security Minister. The presidential decree also sanctioned the following appointments: Mammetkhan Chakyev - Chairman of the State Customs Service; Meilis Nobatov - Chairman of the State Migration Service; Begmurat Muhamedov - Minister of Adalat. Outlining a wide range of top-priority tasks assigned to the servicemen, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov assured that in line with the Military Doctrine with its purely defensive character, efforts would be made to strengthen the logistics of military and law enforcement agencies, create favorable conditions for service and lives of the military personnel.
