These days, the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in Georgia are being held in Tbilisi with great success, timed to coincide with the state visit of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the friendly country. The international cultural event, «Independent neutral Turkmenistan – homeland of purposeful winged horses», which has become one of the significant events of the year, clearly demonstrates the advancement of bilateral humanitarian ties to a new level.

As part of the opening ceremony of the Days of Culture, a large-scale exhibition of works of Turkmen national decorative and applied art was organised. Museum treasures, unique traditions of our people, rooted in the depths of centuries, as well as works of artists and sculptors were presented here. The exhibition gave visitors the opportunity to become acquainted with the rich national heritage of the Turkmen.

Speakers at the ceremony noted that the implementation of agreements reached during high-level meetings and negotiations contributes to the development of fruitful international cooperation, an integral component of which are cultural and humanitarian ties.

Interaction in this area is an important factor in bringing the two countries and peoples closer together, and facilitates familiarisation with ancestral customs and creative traditions of each other. The fact that the Days of Culture held in Georgia coincide with the visit of the President of Turkmenistan to a friendly country underscores the great importance attached to the development of interstate relations.

The meeting of creative figures and library workers from the two countries as part of the Days of Culture enriched their content. As the event participants noted, there are currently ample opportunities to exchange experiences and intensify dialogue in the relevant areas.

The cultural event program also included meetings between theater directors from Turkmenistan and Georgia, during which the great potential for developing contacts between theater professionals was emphasised. The stage masters exchanged opinions on contemporary theatre art and discussed issues of its further development.

Members of the creative delegation from Turkmenistan visited the sights of Tbilisi and made videos of memorable moments.

Performances by singers, musicians, folklore and dance groups, prepared for the opening of the Days of Culture of our country in Georgia, made a huge impression on the audience. Musical numbers, especially Georgian songs performed by famous Turkmen pop artists, were received with great enthusiasm by the audience. The melodies and songs performed became a unique symbol of friendly interstate relations and fruitful cultural and humanitarian cooperation, the development of which the President of Turkmenistan and Hero-Arkadag devote constant attention.

The song «Öňe, öňe, diňe öňe, jan Watanym – Türkmenistan», written by Hero-Arkadag, sounded as an inspiring final chord of the festive concert.

The Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in Georgia continue.
