Each day of Culture Week, held in Balkan velayat, is filled with a series of vibrant and unforgettable events. Such a diverse program of events enhances the significance and level of this creative celebration, reflecting the richness and achievements of national culture and art.
The fifth day of this large-scale forum was also full of events. Today, a methodological meeting on improving the work of rural cultural centers was held at the House of Culture of Belek Settlement, Turkmenbashi etrap. Its agenda clearly demonstrated the ongoing efforts to preserve and comprehensively study the spiritual values of our people and promote them among the population.

An exhibition of national handicrafts and teaching aids was also held there. This extensive exhibition demonstrates the multifaceted nature of the celebrations held in honor of significant dates in the life of the country. After observing the handicrafts of talented Turkmen women, the participants expressed their sincere gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Hero-Arkadag for their state-level commitment to enriching the people’s spiritual world.

The celebration, organized at the House of Culture, continued with inspired performances by family musical ensembles from our country. In the modern era, Turkmenistan places particular emphasis on the comprehensive development of national culture and art, elevating them to new heights, and such creative groups play a key role in this endeavor.

Then, a literary meeting was held in the Balkan Velayat Library, dedicated to the image of the “paradise” horse in the works of Magtymguly Pyragy, Nurmuhammet Andalib, Seyitnazar Seydi, Mammetveli Kemine, Mollanepes, Zelili, Annagylych Myataji, and Gurbanali Magrupi. It’s noteworthy that the event’s theme echoes this year’s motto: “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses”. In this regard, the importance attached to the glorification of magnificent “heavenly” horses in classic works was emphasized.

This meeting, included in the Culture Week program, along with revealing the multifaceted nature of Turkmen classical literature, clearly demonstrated that the theme of the Ahalteke horse spans various historical periods. During the event, excerpts from works by prominent figures of Russian classical literature dedicated to the Ahalteke horse were read.

Musical and song events were also organized as part of Culture Week. A celebration entitled “The Fount of Magtymguly Pyragy’s Mind” was held at the Saparmurat Turkmenbashi Oil Workers’ Palace of Culture in Balkanabat, dedicated to the work of the great Eastern thinker.

Magtymguly Pyragy’s works, imbued with wisdom, have captivated poets, writers, and artists for centuries. This once again confirms that the creative world of this outstanding master of words leaves no one indifferent. Magtymguly’s profound poems, saturated with the spirit of patriotism and heroism, form the foundation of the bakhshi song.

The inspiring musical and vocal performances left an unforgettable impression on the audience. The program of the celebration once again confirmed that Turkmen national art, in which songs based on classical literature occupy an important place, is an integral part of world cultural heritage.

The program of the next day of Culture Week concluded with a performance of the opera “Leyli and Majnun” at the Magtymguly National Music and Drama Theater of Turkmenistan. Materials dedicated to the theater’s achievements, its awards, museum treasures, sculptures of outstanding theatrical masters, and various types of stage props were also on display.

The large-scale activities launched in the Fatherland at the initiative of Hero-Arkadag and successfully continued under the leadership of Arkadagly Hero Serdar in the era of the Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, encompassed all spheres of life in the country. The results of this work, in particular, clearly demonstrate that the creative sphere, including national opera, has acquired a new dynamic of development.

The audience of the opera production expressed their sincere gratitude to Arkadagly Hero Serdar and Hero-Arkadag for their comprehensive assistance in improving national art, including opera, and elevating it to the international stage.

The large-scale creative forum, timed to coincide with the Day of Culture and Art Workers, as well as the poetry of Magtymguly Pyragy, continues.
