Events of the past week serve as clear acknowledgement of success of a complex work on maintenance of sustainable development of national economy, transformation of regions of the country, strengthening of positions of Turkmenistan among industrially developed states of the world, wide introduction of innovative technologies and further increase of standards of living of people initiated by National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero-Arkadag and consistently realised under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

On June 8, the head of the state held an online working meeting to consider the course of activities in the agricultural complex and velayats of the country.

The main emphasis was made on the significance of the gathering of the grain grown by hardworking farmers in time, lost-free, and proper care of cotton fields according to requirements of agro-technical standards.

The President of Turkmenistan instructed to take complex measures for the qualitative and timely conduction of current seasonal agricultural campaigns.

In the past week, the head of the state signed the Resolution on manufacture of a rich yield of sugar beet with application of scientifically well-founded crop rotation according to agro-technical standards in Mary velayat.

On June 8, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Robert Floyd, the Executive Secretary of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO).

During the meeting, the guest highly commended Turkmenistan's foreign policy strategy, which is based on the status of permanent neutrality and aimed at ensuring global peace and security. It was also emphasized that the CTBTO attaches great importance to cooperation with our country.

As was marked, this year marks the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty. Turkmenistan was one of the first to have signed this document that testifies to invariable adherence of our state to ideals of peace.

The parties underlined a constructive and effective character of cooperation between Turkmenistan and CTBTO. Our country strictly carries out its accepted obligations in the field of prohibition of nuclear tests, non-distribution of nuclear weapon and advancement of initiatives on the strengthening of zone, free from the nuclear weapon in Central Asia.

Within his visit, Robert Floyd, the Executive Secretary of CTBTO took part in the regional high-level conference devoted to the 30^th anniversary of the Treaty.

On June 12, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers to consider a number of issues of state life.

In particular, the information on the activity of the Mejlis on further improvement of the legislative framework of the country sounded. As was informed, at present, on the basis of the proposals arriving from ministries and sectoral departments, due work is implemented to amend and add Codes of Customs, Labour, Sanitary, Family of Turkmenistan, the Code of Administrative Offences, as well as Laws «On conscription and military service», «On administrative work», «On court» and «On publishing».

For consideration of the head of the state, proposals, concerning preparation for the first meeting of the Turkmen-Slovak joint commission on economic cooperation were presented, in which discussion of issues of long-term partnership in trade and economic, fuel and energy, building, transport-communication spheres, in the field of information technology is planned. Along with it, cooperation prospects in such areas as agriculture, preservation of the environment, public health services and medical science, education, culture, sports and tourism will be considered.

At the government meeting, concrete plans on the further modernisation of the national oil and gas complex, development of construction and industrial and transport-communication sectors, increase in assortment of competitive goods of textile industry, active integration of the country into global scientific space, perfection of the agricultural branch were also mentioned.

On the occasion of Day of workers of culture and art and poetry of Magtymguly Fragi, corresponding work is carried out to organise the regular Week of culture in Balkan velayat at high level on June 22-27.

In its frameworks, various cultural events, including opening and closing ceremonies of the Week of culture in the building «Türkmeniň ak öýi» in the city of Balkanabat, song and musical performances, conferences, exhibitions, creative meetings, literary soirees, displays of films and scenic plays are planned. Besides it, the art competitions announced earlier will be summed up and the opera display «Leyli and Mejnun» will be shown at the national music and drama theatre named after Magtymguly.

Preparation for the official visit of the Prime Minister of Malaysia to Turkmenistan became a separate topic of the meeting.

As was underlined, Malaysia was among the first to have recognised independence of Turkmenistan. Diplomatic relations between our countries were established on May 17, 1992 and now are supported at high level.

Malaysia is the state, which one of the first to have supported an international recognition of permanent neutrality of our fatherland. For today, the contract-legal basis of bilateral cooperation is supported by 43 interstate, intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents.

An important role in development of partnership is attached to mutual visits of heads of states and governments and summits. So, 9 high level state and official visits, in particular, 4 visits of the President of Turkmenistan to Malaysia, 5 visits of Prime Ministers of Malaysia to our country were organised.

At the same time, contacts at level of governments and ministries of foreign affairs are supported. The political dialogue between Turkmenistan and Malaysia effectively develops within the international organisations, in particular the United Nations, the Organizations of Islamic Cooperation, Movement of Non-Alignment and other large authoritative structures.

In the trade and economic sphere, Malaysia is an old partner of Turkmenistan. As was marked, results of the official visit of the delegation led by the Prime Minister of Malaysia to our country will promote the further expansion and development of relations between two friendly countries into the qualitatively new level.

During the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, the head of the state signed a number of Resolutions, according to which, the structure of the Turkmen-Slovak joint commission on economic cooperation from the Turkmen party was formed and approved, the State program on popularisation of achievements of science, technics and technologies in Turkmenistan for 2026-2030 and the Plan of actions on its realisations, and the Procedure for tenders for selection of suppliers of the goods, work and services for needs of ministries and departments of the transport-communication complex were approved.

According to the signed documents, "Türkmengaz" and «Türkmennebit» State Concerns at their own expenses will conclude contracts with a number of Chinese companies on purchase of steel, casing and well tubes in the corresponding volume for civil work of subordinated establishments and the enterprises and for work at operational and prospecting wells.

Besides it, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated participants of the meeting and all Turkmen nationals on the Day of science, which is annually widely marked in our country on June 12.

On the eve of this event, in the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, the awarding ceremony of diplomas to the scientists who have obtained scientific degrees of doctors of sciences and candidates of science took place.

During the celebration, the decision of the General meeting of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan was read out.

As was pointed out in the document, in view of the activity carried out to improve the economic and social situation of the population, develop spheres of science and education, develop the system of public health services of the country in conformity with the international standards, introduce new high technologies in economy and manufacture, form a new generation of the well-educated youth in Turkmenistan, strengthen positions of independent neutral fatherland - Turkmenistan among dynamically economically developing countries of the world and further consolidate peace policy, friendship and brotherhood on the international scene, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Gurbangulyevich Berdimuhamedov was elected the academician of economic and political sciences of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan.

Then, the Decision of the Presidium of the Higher Attestation Committee of Turkmenistan was read out.

As was marked in the document, guided by the policy of formation of a new generation of highly skilled specialists and scientists in priority areas of science pursued by the President of Turkmenistan and development of science-education spheres of our country into the level of developed states of the world in the Era of Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, on the basis of inquiries of academic councils, conclusions accepted in councils of the Higher Attestation Committee of Turkmenistan on humanitarian and economic, legal and sociological sciences on assignment of the academic status of the professor to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Gurbangulyevich Berdimuhamedov and also in view of enormous merits in realisation of research and production, innovative-industrial, social and economic and scientific and technical transformations having national both a universal value and bringing the big contribution to modern science as well as the peaceful internal and foreign policy and considerable expansion of international cooperation, President of Turkmenistan, doctor of political sciences Serdar Gurbangulyevich Berdimuhamedov was given the academic status of professor of economic and political sciences.

In the Era of Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, thanks to great initiatives of National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, academician, doctor of medical and economic sciences, professors, instructor-scientist Arkadag and the President of Turkmenistan, a large scale work aimed at strengthening and perfection of the material and technical basis of research establishments and higher educational institutions of the country, preparation of highly skilled scientific personnel and increase of interest of the talented youth in science is successfully realised.

With the decision of the Presidium of the Higher Attestation Committee of Turkmenistan, 31 scientists of our country were awarded scientific degrees, including 6 - doctors of sciences and 25 - candidates of science.

Scientific works of several scientists of Turkmenistan, who received scientific degrees in countries-partners, were also recognised. Among them - 5 documents of doctors of sciences and 6 - candidates of science on assignment of scientific degrees.

The international scientific conference «Science, technics and innovative technologies in the Era of Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state» was timed to Day of science, which took place at the engineering-technological university of Turkmenistan named after Oguz khan.

In the forum organised by the Academy of Sciences of the country, along with Turkmen scientists, heads and representatives of academies of Sciences and higher educational institutions of several states, including from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Egypt, Italy, China, Republic of Korea, Russia, Turkey, and Uzbekistan and Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation took part.

The scientific reports sounded during the conference, covered actual theoretical and practical issues of development of cooperation on the widest spectrum of science, education and innovations, including energy, nanotechnologies, ecology, digital economy and modern medicine.

Participants of the forum became guests of honour of the ceremony of awarding of winners of the youth scientific competition.

For consideration of the commission of specialists, more than 1500 solutions and researches on six nominations including actual areas of modern science were submitted. It included works on nanotechnology, chemical technologies, study of new materials and energy, biotechnology, molecular biology, agriculture, ecology and genetics, information-communication systems, computer technologies, modern technologies of medicine and manufacture of medical products, innovative economy, the humanities.

According to the Resolution of the head of the state, 170 young scientists, whose works have deserved an appreciation of the exacting jury panel, in solemn conditions received honourable diplomas and costly presents on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan.

Among other events of the week – the ceremony of delivering of the credentials of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Finland to Turkmenistan Maria Agren in the Mejlis of the country. The diplomat was acquainted with the basic areas of the state policy of our country and an important place of development of international cooperation on equal rights in interests of universal peace, safety and well-being in it.

In the country, the grain-harvesting season, which farmers of Dashoguz and Balkan velayats joined, proceeds.

The modern machinery, which trouble-free work is provided round the clock with mobile mechanical-repair brigades is involved in gathering the grown crop of wheat. In field camps, appropriate conditions are created for work and rest of participants of the campaign. Trucks provide delivery of grain to reception points, barns and elevators.

In the Chamber of Commerce and industry of Turkmenistan, the 13^th meeting of the Joint Turkmen-Austrian commission took place. On the agenda, the issues, concerning practical realisation of agreements reached earlier, in particular the proposals, which were put forward at the last meetings, were considered.

Participants of the meeting discussed possibilities of the further expansion of business ties on a number of key areas. Among them - introduction of innovative technologies in the industrial sector, energy, ecological projects and waste management, building and transport infrastructure, sphere of services, public health services and pharmaceutical industry, agriculture and agricultural products processing.

"Green" economy, digitalization and artificial intelligence, and interaction in the area of development of city infrastructure, water-purifying technologies, bank sector, spheres of science, culture and education were noted as especially promising hi-tech areas.

Following the results of the meeting, the corresponding Protocol was signed.

Within the work of the Joint Turkmen-Austrian commission, bilateral negotiations between representatives of ministries and departments, and business circles of both countries took place.

By tradition, in the middle of June ceremonies of celebration of graduates of military and law-enforcement higher schools of Turkmenistan were held. In Ashgabat on the square before the Constitution Monument, graduates of the military academy and cadets of higher schools of security structures of Turkmenistan were honoured. In solemn conditions, officer certificates were presented.

Young officers brought an oath of fidelity to the military oath, devotion to their native land, people and the President of the country, and readiness with honour to continue glorious military traditions of valorous ancestors.

The past week was thus rich in such events and once again displayed purposefulness of the policy of peace and creation realised by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, called to provide the further forward advancement of Turkmenistan by the path of innovations and progress and use the rich potential of the country for the benefit of entire humanity.
