Today, the Turkmen-Chinese business forum and exhibition started to work in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The present business actions have a huge significance in the context of enhancement of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, increase of export of goods, further development of partnership with Chinese companies and investors as well as wide attraction of foreign investments into national economy.
As known, the history of interstate relations go back to the depth of millennia. Our people have established close trade and economic and cultural contacts through the Great Silk road and have brought a unique contribution in the development of world civilisation. As early as B.C. Huns, who were ancestors of Turkmens, signed a sworn treaty with Chinese and confirmed their firm adherence to friendship based on good will. Thanks to consecutive efforts of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, at present bilateral interaction has been brought out to the level of all-round strategic cooperation, which dynamically develops.
The current year «Independent neutral Turkmenistan - the homeland of purposeful winged racers» is marked with the fact that significant events have entered in the history of the interstate dialogue. Numerous meetings and other events organised within the friendly visit of National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to China as well as the visit of Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, First Vice Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Ding Xuexiang to our country have enriched our strategic partnership with the new content.
The Turkmen-Chinese business forum and exhibition, as an original sequence of these important events, became an effective platform for demonstration of the industrial and export potential of the friendly country and development of perspective areas of mutually beneficial relations.
The large-scale event brought together representatives of more than 200 business structures of the People’s Republic of China in the Turkmen capital. Among them are old partners, who throughout many years have maintained interaction with our country and whose production are well known to buyers. Among participants are also those, who aspires to come into active business contacts and intend to strengthen their positions in the perspective Turkmen market.
… Early in the morning on the area before the Chamber of Commerce and Industry workers of culture and art welcomed guests with their song and music performances. The chairwoman of the Mejlis, deputy-chairmen of the Cabinet, heads of ministries, sectoral departments, public organisations, heads and representatives of foreign diplomatic missions and international structures accredited in Turkmenistan and the mass media took part in the opening of the forum.
The gathered with huge attention heard the Congratulatory message of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to participants of the Turkmen-Chinese business forum and exhibition, in which it is pointed out that today the mutual relations based upon principles of mutual respect, friendship and mutual interest, are actively expanded in various areas. At the same time, the strategic partnership of two friendly states is brought out to a qualitatively new level. In the message of the head of Turkmenistan, the firm confidence is expressed that the forum and exhibition held in white marble coated Ashgabat, being a visible example of constructive partnership of both countries, will be effective in the context of disclosing available enormous potential of cooperation in different areas - in the area of science, technics and high technologies and exchange of modern innovations and advanced practice.
Then, participants of the event headed towards the venue of exhibition. There, the video clips highlighting the basic areas of Turkmen-Chinese cooperation, which has dynamically developed in recent years, were shown to visitors. The fuel and energy complex is a key vector of bilateral cooperation. A strategic significance of the sector is confirmed with the fact that in the current year Turkmenistan and China mark the 20th anniversary of their partnership in the gas sector. The recent international scientific-practical conference, the seventh meeting of the Turkmen-Chinese intergovernmental committee on cooperation, the ceremony of signing of several intergovernmental documents in various spheres held in the capital were also timed to the date.
A solemn ceremony of start of drilling of operational wells and construction of the installation for production of commodity gas with a capacity of 10 billion cubic metre a year within the fourth stage of development of «Galkynyş» gas deposit held with participation of National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, First Vice Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Ding Xuexiang also speak of firm adherence to the further development of mutually beneficial relations between our countries in this important segment.
As known, the Turkmen-Chinese cooperation in the energy sector answers not only to economic interests of both countries, but also promotes maintenance of energy security at regional and global levels. Participation of a number of companies of China specialising in the fuel and energy sphere in the forum, shows their big interest in expansion of partnership in the perspective Turkmen market. A number from them are known not only in China, but also in the world as leading large companies, which put into practice projects in traditional electric power industry and in the field of renewed energy sources.
At the present exhibition, representatives of business circles of the friendly country acquaint visitors with advanced solutions in construction and modernisation of gas and petrochemical complexes. Among participants of the exhibition are also companies specialising in services in supply of technologies to discover mineral deposits and estimation of reserves of raw materials, equipment and technologies necessary for drilling works.
More than 70 stands located in the extensive territory of the exhibition centre, display many-sided creative and innovative possibilities of China. Introduction of advanced practice and modern technologies in all spheres of national economy is defined as one of the priority areas of the state policy of Turkmenistan. In the given context, achievements of the friendly country, which takes leading positions in the world for the volume of output and export of production, are of great interest for our country. The policy of "open doors» of our fatherland, which possesses enormous reserves of natural resources, is aimed at strengthening equal rights and mutually beneficial relations with all interested parties.
The transport-communication sector acts among perspective areas of cooperation and influences not only development of our countries, but also the entire Eurasian continent. At that, it is necessary to notice that the strategy of Turkmenistan «Revival of the Great Silk road» and the initiative of China «One belt, one road» are harmoniously combined. Within the given initiatives, an effective work is implemented to increase the throughput of transport-transit corridors of continental significance. In modernisation of the material and technical basis of systems of railways and motor roads of the country, a special role is given to Chinese companies. Their powerful machinery and modern passenger transport are effectively used in cargo and passenger transportation.
As known, recently with participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov a solemn opening of the Mary-Turkmenabat section of the high-speed Ashgabat-Turkmenabat autobahn took place. This road with a length of 600 kilometers answers to high international standards and serves as evident acknowledgement of huge possibilities of local private builders in realisation of significant projects, called to promote increase in transport streams of the region on the basis of study of advanced practice.
In this plan, the experience of state and private corporations of China in the field of construction of high-speed railways and highways, underground passageways, urban undergrounds, bridges evoke a great interest.
At the exhibition, stands of Chinese companies, which manufacture various kinds of long-distance, intracity, and intercity passenger buses. As a result of regular purchase of transport means from China the technical potential of passenger road and transport park of our country grows stronger. It is necessary to mark that a number of the enterprises which manufacture various spare parts for motor transport, including engines, accumulators, and wheels takes part in the exhibition.
In the present period, in the national telecommunication system, due measures aimed at introduction of innovative digital technologies and information-communication installations, corresponding to the international standards are successfully realised. In this context, great volumes of capital investments go to creation and modernisation of communications enterprises. A regular work is implemented to provide the population with modern competitive services in this area.
In the given area, close interaction with world famous companies of China is carried out. As a result of this partnership, in our country specialised enterprises that produce electronic and various information technology are created. The stands of the companies working in the sphere of telecommunication equipment, technologies of "artificial intelligence", organisation of large information centres and robots engaged in manufacture are especially populous. A great interest of visitors was evoked by the expositions acquainting with modern possibilities of development of "smart" cities and uses in logistics of pilotless devices, and offering the advanced diagnostic equipment for maintenance of uninterrupted examination of cars and people at check-points.
A number of the companies acquaint with the services, concerning textile industry and construction business, hothouses and water economic objects. Among participants of the exhibition are also manufacturers of agricultural machinery working on the basis of "smart" technologies, fibre-optical cables, seeds of various kinds of agricultural crops, high-yielding and quickly adapted for environment, veterinary preparations. Some stands give the information on available potential of cooperation in manufacture of various medical products and vaccines.
As an integral part of Turkmen-Chinese partnership, the scientific-educational sphere acts. At present, in the friendly country, thousands of Turkmen students get education. On the margins of the exhibition, one can get necessary information on educational institutions for the youth, wishing to go to China.
In the specially organised zone, presentations of the best practices and production of the companies - participants of the review were held. Their achievements open new possibilities for mutually beneficial cooperation with manufacturers and business structures of our fatherland, which confidently follows the path of industrialisation and innovations.
The huge potential of motor industry of China is widely presented on special platforms. It is necessary to notice that in construction of large infrastructural objects the specialized machinery from the People’s Republic of China is actively used. Loading, cargo, concrete mixing, and other machines manufactured by Chinese companies differ with their capacity and variety of marks. The present exposition visually shows modern possibilities of the cars made in China. Businesspersons of our country have become close partners of the Chinese companies in respect of purchase of specialised technics and cars.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, bilateral meetings of heads of fuel and energy, trade, financial and economic, agricultural, building, transport-communication complexes, profile ministries and branch departments of Turkmenistan were held with representatives of large Chinese companies, in which mutual adherence to an all-around development of effective cooperation in the spheres representing mutual interest was confirmed.
Key areas of the further development of trade between Turkmenistan and China will be in details discussed during the Turkmen-Chinese business forum planned for the second day of the exhibition. The forum and exhibition, called to become a bright symbol of friendship and partnership between two states, will finish its work on April 30.
